The Darwin docu-drama Creation was first shunned by US distributors, and now it’s got an honest-to-goodness bidding war. Just goes to show all you have to do to get a distributor is tell everyone just how controversial your topic happens to be.

Interestingly, for a time Icon Pictures, the production company Mel Gibson founded for Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto, was involved in the bidding war. It seems pretty uncertain who’s going to end up holding the bag on this one, but I guarantee whoever it is, is going to make more money than the distributors for Expelled.
