But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life – what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you’ve got going on at home – that’s no excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude. Where you are right now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end up. No one’s written your destiny for you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.

I’m sorry, but I can’t pretend that this whole line of argumentation makes sense. I don’t even know where the outrage comes from outside of latent (or blatant) racism from the same crew responsible for riling up the ignorant and ridiculous tea parties — you know, the dittoheads. I mean, it’s not like other, Republican, presidents have never given speeches to children.

I don’t think I can even bring myself to devote a tenth of the time that Stizzlerox did to actually dredging this river of hypocrisy flowing from the mouths of idiots and assholes. I mean, really, what the living fuck is so dangerous about Obama, as compared to what you’ve just lived through?

And I have no idea why everything to do with Obama is so polarized and the public so divided between him being an average president and him being the antichrist, when he’s in actuality such a middle of the road milquetoast accomodationist, the rank opposite of a rabble-rousing Black Panther. How he got storied as “most liberal senator” is beyond me — and probably well beyond Bernie Sanders, who is, you know, an actual socialist.

I just don’t get it. I’d ask for your help understanding this, but I’m convinced the answer might drive me to hate humanity as a whole. Or that someone or other would try to “convert” me over to the easy path of idiocy.

I mean, hell, when even Phil Plait is pissed off about it, isn’t that a pretty fucking good indication that it’s completely and totally wrong?
