Fashion Friday on Saturday: Atheist Shoes

There was some fabulous fashion at the Director’s Reception (tonight? last night? what do you call it when it’s after midnight but you haven’t gone to sleep yet?) for the 5th Atheist Film Festival. (Happening today, Saturday, September 14 — you can still get tickets at the door.) In particular, there were loads and loads of truly awesome shoes. So I spent much of the party asking people if I could photograph their shoes (which makes for an interesting ice-breaker), and documenting the shoe parade. And I thought I’d share with the rest of the class.

Thanks so much to everyone who patiently let this weird blogger photograph their shoes!

Here, btw, is a full-length selfie I took at the party in the bathroom mirror, so you can see the full glory of my whole outfit:

Here is me and Ingrid, so you can see the full glory of both of our outfits:

Here we are with our friend Anne, so you can see the full glory of… oh, you get the idea.

Here is a selfie I took of me and Ingrid and Rebecca:

And here’s a picture Meg took of me and Ingrid and Rebecca: it’s a better picture, although there is a quality to the selfie that I’m fond of. It has a certain… selfieness.

Damn, those are some fine-looking atheist women, aren’t they?

Atheist shoes? I guess they don’t believe in the immortality of the sole.

Seriously though, even though those photos look AMAZING due to the lighting, and it DOES look like I’m actually about to throw a super early Christmas party, the reality is I got these red lights due to this article, that talks about how red lighting for night people like me, helps a TON with depression; I suffer from Major Depression amongst other things like Chronic PTSD and DESNOS.

I took these photos like 10 mins ago :+)

THEY ARE SO PRETTY OMG, IMA THROW A BILLION PARTIES WITH MY IMAGINARY FRIENDS :3
