What Rodney Nelson said. Also: Don’t worry about blogging, or not-blogging. That’s the least of your concerns right now. Take your meds, heal up, cuddle with the kitties, and only after all that is done, come back and tell us about it.

Brilliant news! I was starting to worry.

Wonderful to hear you’re back at home.

There’s no rush to blog. Get your rest.

  3. jhendrix says

Glad to hear things went well and that you’re home. Hope you feel better and recover quickly!

  4. geocatherder says

Ed Brayton on Facebook posted that you’re okay and all went well. Recover quickly. WE LOVE YOU.

  5. No Light says

    YAY!

We’ve both been thinking about you today.

Go and snuggle up with Ingrid and the kids. Rest!

  6. jh42 says

Very glad to hear it went well, Greta.

Loved the post, BTW – I have friends and colleagues who think I could learn a few things from you about being succinct. ;)

Take care and have a speedy recovery.

  7. sheila says

Glad it went well. But please, put yourself first, second and third, and your readers last. This is about YOU.

  8. Siobhan says

Great news! I keep wondering if you’ve had the davinci assisted procedure. I got a hysterectomy due to massive fibroids in July and it was davinci assisted. *keeping you in my thoughts*

  9. nancyholst says

Happy to hear it went well. Amazing that years ago this procedure would have kept you in the hospital for a week or more. Now, you’re home in your own bed healing same day.

Yaaaayyyyy for surgery done, and well done! Here’s wishing you good drugs, kitteh cuddles as and when appropriate, peace and quiet and lots of tlc, all of which will help towards a fine recovery. All the best to you both.

  11. catlover says

SO glad it went well! I wish you a speedy recovery. Do get lots of rest. Gentle hugs to you.

  12. johnthedrunkard says

    Congratulations on a good surgery.

Take the drugs as prescribed, their really are reasons not to play tough until you can’t stand it and then eat’em like popcorn.

Love to you, Ingrid and mogs.

  13. says

Nice drugs? I think if they’re going to cut you open, the least they can do is provide you with some nice drugs.

    Anyway, I’m glad you’re alive.
    *Hugs*

As someone who has had more than my share of major surgery, I have advice. You have been through a trauma. Rest, BUT get up and walk. Short distances, just around the house at first, many times a day. And be sure to stand up straight no matter how much your body wants to curve protectivly around the wound. Trust me. It makes a huge difference in recovery time.

I know Ingrid will take good care of you. We’ll be waiting here when you feel like talking to us again.

  15. Nick Gotts (formerly KG) says

Best wishes again! (I’ve been away, and didn’t check the date on your preceding post.)

  16. Patricia, OM says

May you have many steaming mugs of chicken broth with sprigs of rosemary. Gentle hugs for you and Ingrid.

  17. didgen says

Thinking of you. Hope you have reached the point where each day you feel better, rather than worse.

  18. elpayaso says

excellent! hugs from the lurkdom. i know you were hot to start that Cossack folk dancing class at the community college ASAP, but maybe put it off for at least a week or 2.

and revel in the fact that your cats are (for the only time in their life) earning their keep

  19. shouldbeworking says

It’s very quiet on the Greta front. Oh, wait. Is that sound of cats purring? They must be enjoying Greta’s bedrest.
