Kitteh Bellies!

I’m seriously slammed right now, going over final corrections on Why Are You Atheists So Angry? 99 Things that Piss Off the Godless. Don’t have time to write a proper blog post. So instead, I’m giving my readers what I know they most want anyway:

KITTEH BELLIES!

I know. It’s almost nauseating how cute they are. Between Talisker sprawled out on her back, and Comet draping her paw over her sister’s neck, and the ridiculous tangle of back paws and tails at the bottom of the photo? Not to mention the pink jellybean toes? It’s like a freaking Hallmark Card around here. Disgusting. It’s a good thing none of you are here to listen to us talk to them. You’d go into a diabetic coma.

As someone who can go into a diabetic coma, I’d much rather get there via a huge tub of choc-marshmallow icecream, hot lemon meringue and almond-flavored whipped cream, washed down via a bottle of finest eiswein.

But those kittehs do look luscious.

In a weird bit of what I assume is coincidence (unless you got them prenamed from the same litter as our kitties), I have two tabbies that look remarkably similar to yours named “moonshine whisky’ and ‘pluto’. Moonshine looks like your Talisker, and Pluto could be a twin of the one on the right (though we can’t see his/her face.

@sqlrob: For one of ours, it’s about 50-50. Sometimes it’s a trap, sometimes it’s not. You never know! I rub 100% of the time anyhow.

    KITTIES!!!!!

I’ve got a deformed (cavus excavatum) gorgeous tortoise shell and a skinny, vomitous black calico (aka tri-color). Tortoise-shell is rather skittish around other people, but she likes us (especially me). Black calico is a people-kitteh, and demands for attention with unbearable amounts of cuteness and cuddling.

They rarely ever sleep near each other, except when they sleep on our feet at night, and usually chase each other around. Occasionally they’ll fall asleep together on the chair, but never as cute as that.

    AWWWWWWWW!

I have a ragdoll kitty and a berner puppy at home. They sleep next to each other all the time (or, more accurately, the kitty curls up near the dog’s head), and it’s adorable.

Although my cat totally loves belly rubs. At least, 95% of the time…

I had a very bad night last night; must have eaten too late or something. Kept waking up from nightmares where someone was breaking into the house. I’d wake up, get my bearings, and note that Rocky the Watch-Cat was beside me expectantly looking for scritches; if any human had dared to come near the house, Rocky would’ve growled and hid under the bed. So they can, in a roundabout way, be useful even as grown cats… and some nights it really does help to be purred to at about 4 am.

Brinjal used to come and meet me from work. He’d come all the way down one alley way and wait on the fence at about 6.00, and then run alongside me as I walked home. I think he was ACTUALLY saying, “It’s about time you fed me, hurry up” but…I know what I like to think. And he loved belly rubs.

Not only are Greta’s cats gorgeous, but that cat hugging the kitten…OK, where’s my insulin…

Kittehs can be very useful! I had a cat leap on someone’s back and attack when she thought I was being threatened. And she had a very soft belly, and it was definitely a trap.

I tried to show this pic to my grey tabby, but he kept ignoring it. By the way, try to rub his tummy and your arm will get shredded by claws that make razors look dull.
