Are You an Evil Little Thing? Get the T-Shirt and Represent!

UPDATE: The domain that the Evil Little Shirts were being sold through seems to have lapsed. If someone knows where Evil Little Thing T-shirts are being sold, let me know. In the meantime, I’ve removed the links from this post, as they’re linking to a spammy site that has nothing to do with Jessica Ahlquist or with Evil Little Thing T-shirts.

You know about Jessica Ahlquist, right? High school student in Rhode Island, fought for the Constitution and sued her public high school to take a prayer banner out of the school auditorium?

You heard the story about how Rhode Island State Representative Peter G. Palumbo went on the radio and called Ahlquist an “evil little thing”?

Now you can get a nifty “Evil Little Thing” T-shirt — and support the Jessica Ahlquist scholarship fund!

Two type faces, multiple shirt colors, multiple print colors, lots of sizes and styles. You can even get additional customizations if you ask real nice. Many thanks to Hemant Mehta at Friendly Atheist for establishing the scholarship fund (which is still accepting donations, btw). Let’s show those Rhode Island bullies what us evil little things are capable of! Get your evil little shirt today!

Just bought one. Ten more dollars to be spent on a college education for an already brilliant young woman.

Jessica, “real life” is a glass bubble around our childhood that slowly crumbles as we get older, and for most of us, comes crashing down when we realize that we all need to grow up. You have faced that glass and destroyed it with your intelligence, will, and wit. You have taken the offensive on this world. I implore you, keep up this momentum. If you do, you will live a life that most of us could never even dream about. And I dare say, you will make it a better place. I believe, indeed, you already have.

I purchased a hot pink shirt so that people will ask about it. As a college student, I am proud to contribute to Jessica’s future. She is a wonderful young lady.

What a fortuitous coincidence- I was in the market for a new hoodie! I’m grinning like an idiot just imagining the congressmoron’s reaction to Jessica and all of her supporters using his own words to flip him and his ilk the metaphorical bird. Good luck on your college search Jessica!

The brilliant thing about Jessica’s college fund is that it wouldn’t have happened if it hadn’t been for the hysterical reaction of all those mindless, don’t know our country’s constitution and anyway don’t even care, Christians.

As for the guy who coined the phrase ‘evil little thing’, UK politicians are a bunch of idiots but US politicians are in a totally different league.

I live in Holland, and i never thought that a country a mighty as the USA still allows this kind of things. I mean, Rhode Island is pretty big state…>>.shame!

But i support Jessica, it’s a shame that after 2000 year this kind of nonsense is still going on… Religion brings only hate and idiots

Hello Jessica, I just wanted to say stand up girl. Unfortunately I’m currently broke but as soon as I have some money I will buy the shirt. I’ve been an atheist since I was 10 I’ve read both the new and old testament as well as the Koran and all three are basically the same udder nonsense. Some how I’ve managed to not cause such an uproar even though Im outspoken about my disbielief in a little town that is very religious based. Stand firm and know there are many that stand with you. Take care,

[…] Let’s see. If universities are so bad, then how many Republicans in Congress, including Ricky himself, chose to forgo the college?  More to the point, would you go to a doctor who claimed “I just learned this on my own.  No need for any formal schooling”?  Since when is education bad?  Since when is learning more than your parents learned an evil little thing (to mix metaphors)? […]

Just saw Jessica’s interview on CNN. Incredible to contrast her confident, thoughtful and measured answers with the behaviour of the baying, hate-filled bullies.
I’m looking forward to my shirts arriving. Good luck in college, Ms Alquist!

Sansgawd @ #13: The domain for the Evil Little Things T-shirt seems to have lapsed, and been taken over by the dating site. I’ve updated the post to reflect this. Thanks for letting me know.
