What does it mean to be “good in bed”?

This phrase, “good in bed,” has been stuck in my head lately. It’s a phrase I’ve thought about a lot over the years.

To find out why the phrase “good in bed” gets up my nose, read the rest of the piece. (And if you have comments you want to post here, please consider also cross- posting them to the Blowfish Blog — they like comments there, too.) Enjoy!

  1. says

When I first heard the phrase “good in bed,” I was too young to know what it meant (I knew what sex was, but it was so far off my radar that it didn’t pop into my head right away).
So I figured, “Yeah, I’m good in bed. I mean, I do sleep a lot…”

  2. Julie paradox says

Nowadays I think of “good in bed” as “doesn’t wriggle around, doesn’t disturb his brother, and stays there till seven am”
