Shameless Blogger Self-Promotion Day!

Computer_keyboard
I’m going to be spending most of my blogging time for the next couple of days frantically getting the Carnival of the Godless ready. I’ll have time for a cat blog, maybe, and that’s probably about it until Sunday when I’m hosting the Carnival. (If you want to submit a godless blog post, you have until midnight on Friday.)

So let’s play Shameless Blogger Self-Promotion Day! If you’re a blogger, here’s your chance to do the naughty, and shamelessly promote your blog in the comments. Tell us about your blog, and give a link or two to a recent post or two that you’re particularly proud of.

No commercial content, advertising, sales, marketing, etc. However, if you’re an artist or activist or something, and you don’t have a blog but you have a Website, please feel free to link to that instead. There are a bunch of new people visiting the blog lately, and I’d like to find out more about who you are — and I’d like the new folks to meet the old ones. So go nuts in the comments, and I’ll see you on Sunday with the Carnival!

    Heck, why not…

The url is long so just click my name(above).

Well…. I’m a musician, and I’m sure I posted something on the last one of these you did.
But anyway chaotimusic.com is where I post my free music. The latest song is called “God is grate”, kinda inspired by Christopher Hitchens….

I’ll take it! (Thanks Greta Christina!)
Aye! Is a compilation of politics, atheism, religion, addiction (ex drunk and addict), aviation (flight attendant by trade) and all sorts of pop culture!
    Drop on by!

OK, since you’ve invited us to comment and shamelessly plug, I’m something of a technocrat and have been keeping up Musings from the Coast for a couple of years.
While it’s not strictly godless, here’s the post that’s gotten the most mileage: Use CFLs, save the planet, save $3,500.

Love your blog, particularly the angry religion post which was the entre to your site.

I just hatched a brand-new-baby atheist blog today. It’s still kinda wrinkled and covered in mucous, but I have high hopes that it’ll develop into something nice.

I hadn’t heard of That Is So Queer when I titled my blog This Is So Gay. I’m coming from a gay / atheist / feminist-influenced / book-crazed / left POV. I’m more likely to post essays than the kind of link-filled stuff I usually seem to see on blogs. I’m especially proud of “Gay Christians Say the Darnedest Things” —
    http://thisislikesogay.blogspot.com/2007/05/gay-christians-say-darnedest-things.html
    — which is the only post that’s been linked by other sites so far, but that’s not why I’m proud of it. I’ll also tout “I Enjoy Being a Girl” —
    http://thisislikesogay.blogspot.com/2007/06/i-enjoy-being-girl.html
    — my slam of Joan Acocella’s defense of Willa Cather against the dread accusation of lesbianism, and “Tolliver Always”,
    http://thisislikesogay.blogspot.com/2007/06/tolliver-always.html
my review of Armistead Maupin’s “Michael Tolliver Lives” and Nicola Griffith’s “Always.”

My new atheism blog (link at the bottom) has comments, links, news items, the odd essay and some simple comics (simple because I don’t have time to faff about actually making them look good).
Because I write several blogs**, the atheism blog at ecstathy is not updated daily, but every few days or so – as I have something to get off my chest. I do try to at least post every week.
**(my main one has a number of quite religious subscribers that I am very fond of, and who I want to take a far gentler line with – I blather on about how we need to avoid “fooling ourselves” and “the need for evidence” and “examining our beliefs” and so on, without being nearly as direct as I am at ecstathy. I usually avoid talking directly about religion there – it’s more about politics, mathematics, science, games, general diary stuff and so on).
When I started the ecstathy blog, I changed from commenting here and at Pharyngula (and others) under my own name to a pseudonym (Efrique) out of concern for my young kids. There are some nasty religious kooks around that could read what I write and I don’t want my kids targetted at school. [With careful enough reading across both my blogs, it’s just possible to figure out not only who I am but where my kids go to school.]
    first post, mainly background:
    http://ecstathy.blogspot.com/2007/10/agony-and-ecstathy.html
    an essay (and comic):
    http://ecstathy.blogspot.com/2007/10/are-atheists-angry.html
    silliness:
    http://ecstathy.blogspot.com/2007/10/faith-based-mathematics.html
    http://ecstathy.blogspot.com/2007/10/blog-post.html
(click on comics to make them bigger)
Anyway, if you take a look at it, leave a comment to tell me what you think. Even if you hate it or think it’s boring or whatever – let me know, and tell me why. Constructive criticism is more likely to have an effect, but any criticism is better than none.
    Thanks Greta!

Hi Greta. Found your blog via the Blowfish blog, and I’ve been lurking for quite a while now.
I have a web log (link provided), but it’s not going to be terribly interesting to readers here. This is really just me taking advantage of a good excuse to de-lurk. 🙂
I really look forward to your posts. For the last couple years, I’ve been doing a lot of questioning of old assumptions and old habits. I think I came to that point a bit later in life than most do. 🙂 At any rate, I enjoy your posts so much because they force me to stand completely on the far side of some of those old assumptions. I get to view them through the eyes of someone who’s obviously intelligent and thoughtful and comes at them from a completely different direction than the one I’m accustomed to.
I end up usually agreeing, occasionally not agreeing, almost always sympathizing, and many times being surprised at just how strong my old knee-jerk reactions still are. 🙂 At any rate, I always come away understanding not only someone else’s view but also myself just a little bit better.
    Keep writing!
    –Jeff

    Hey, Greta;
It’s nice to do this every once in a while, so I appreciate yet another chance to shill for Tangled Up In Blue Guy.
I don’t write about sex much, so some of your regulars may be disappointed, but I am into S&M and that’s what brings me back here. (Was that in my out-loud voice?)
I mostly write about atheism, politics, stupid religion tricks and et cetera, et cetera et cetera.

Popular Logistics is a blog about community-based emergency preparedness. Our primary religious/anti-religious notion is this: we want communities to be ready for Acts of God – whether or not they’re caused by God. We maintain equality of opportunity between people-made, natural, theological, or combination disasters. (We admit to being a little weak on planning for Old Testament hazards). JS

I am a relatively new blogger. My blog asks the question: Does the Christian God of the Bible Exist? It started as a way to pose questions and try to get some answers regarding my doubts I have been having in religion. Now it is slowly morphing into a full-fledged atheist (or at least agnostic) blog.
