AbGradCon application deadline: February 6

abgradcon2017

AbGradCon is an astrobiology conference sponsored by the NASA Astrobiology Institute and organized and attended by students and postdocs. This year’s meeting is in June, six weeks after AbSciCon, so students and postdocs could potentially go to both. The range of subjects is broad:

Participants will be asked to submit abstracts under one of 8 categories: astronomy, biology, chemistry, education, engineering, geology, planetary science, and society.

“Substantial” financial support is available for attendees “with demonstrated financial need,” but the meeting is relatively cheap to start with:

The total cost of attendance is expected to be ~$700, which includes registration, lodging, and meals, but not airfare.

Registration is open and requires submission of an abstract of 250 words or less.
