New at Rosetta Stones: Fidalgo Island Fun Times

I took B to see Rosario Beach, and brought you back some lovely photos! Do go enjoy. And here’s an extra one what has got a bit o’ botany as its focus:

Image shows a spray of Ocean Spray flowers, most of them buds. A bit of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Fidalgo Island are visible in the background.

I’ve been trying all day to avoid picking this tiny nit, but I’ve failed. Deception pass isn’t what makes Whidbey an island, it’s what makes Whidbey and Fidalgo two islands instead of one. I’m a bad person. I can’t help myself sometimes! Nice pics, and a good reminder that we need to get out and see the sights around here more!

Note that the oil refineries in one of the pics are on March Point, one of the best birdwatching sites in the USA. Especially if you like seeing bald eagles. We’ve got pictures (somewhere) of about 20 of them in the same not-to-large tree next to some storage tanks.
