ZOMG Pumpkins Going Squish and Horsies!

Some of you may remember last year, when Our Own Trebuchet won a spiffy trophy with his trebuchet, and there was actual jousting with real horses. You might have been sad you missed it. Well, it’s happening again! And you can go with us! How could you think of missing this?!

WATCH Pumpkins Fly & Die!
Trebuchets and other launching devices hurl pumpkins- it’s a crazy competition! Mounted knights battle on horseback! Get your chance to launch a pumpkin!

Right?! So if you’ll be in the area, make your plans, and come have awesome good fun! If you need your appetite whetted further, see the awesome video of us making the winning hurl. And admit it. You’ll love seeing the horsies.

No horses were harmed, and in fact, they seemed to be having the time of their lives. They love this stuff!

Let’s go!

You go and toss that pumpkin nice and far for me, Trebuchet and accompanying suite. (And make sure Dana takes lots of pictures of the pretty horses. For me, please.)

  2. Trebuchet says

Thanks Dana! Looking forward to seeing you again, perhaps we’ll have a little mini FTB/ETEV meetup! Here’s hoping the weather will be good.

If you miss it, there’s another one in Burlington two weeks later. There’s actually better hurling at that one, but not as much medieval stuff and probably no horsies.

Trebuchets are fun, but it is the jousting that caught my eye. Given that I’ve been plowing through “Song of Ice and Fire” all summer, it would be fun to see how it’s done.

Yes please, Dana. Lots of horse photos. So rq and I can wave them at some friends. *waves to rq*

Good luck to Trebuchet. Fling it farthest! Come to think of it, how do you wish a punkinchunker “Good Luck”?

    “Fling long and prosper”

Yes. That’s just right. Well spoken!

“To make them understand the beauty that is Horse.”

Or, if I may, “To show them just a bit of what they are missing”. I’m thinking gentle persuasion here. That and jolly pointing and laughing as added incentive.
