Ozma’s dying. She’s Lockwood’s beautiful feral baby. We didn’t get a chance to see her when we were there – she’ll only associate with Lockwood – but we caught a glimpse. She’s a gorgeous girl. I’m glad she’s got someone she loves and trusts who will stay with her to the end.

Love and hugs to both of you. I’m glad you had each other, even though it’s never long enough.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ozma. I'm glad you're there to provide some comfort for her. Losing a beloved pet is never easy.

Thanks for the thoughts and kindness. I've posted a bit about the end here. I was honestly at wit's end, emotionally exhausted, cried out, and terrified it would just go on and on. One thing I didn't mention: as miserable as she was, she would still give a quiet little purr- more felt than heard- when my scratching found a sweet spot, right up to the point we put her in the carrier to go to the vet.
