Limbaugh Not Happy About Colbert Replacing Letterman

Rush Limbaugh, who only does comedy unintentionally, reacted to the news that Stephen Colbert would be replacing David Letterman by saying that CBS had now “declared war on the heartland of America” and was mounting an “assault on traditional American values.”

Barber Started His Website to Battle Satan

Matt Barber went on Cliff Kincaid’s radio show and said that he created his new website, BarbWire, because he’s “at war with…the Prince of the Earth, Satan himself.” No Matt, you’re at war with rationality. And you’re losing badly.

They…Don’t Wanna Play Sin City

Yes, an anti-apartheid song reference in the title to the post. You’re welcome. Oh, I should explain why it’s there. The Republican National Committee is considering having their 2016 national convention in Las Vegas and some major Christian leaders have written a letter to Reince Priebus telling him not do that.

WND Can’t Imagine Why ATF Would Need Bombmaking Materials

The Worldnetdaily does its usual bang-up job of “journalism” with an article entitled “Mystery: ATF making its very own bombs.” It’s full of implication and innuendo to convince its credulous readers that something nefarious is going without even attempting to think of a reason why it might be happening.

The Peter is Not Happy With Liberty U

As soon as I saw that Liberty University had hired a gay choreographer to work on a musical they’re putting on, I was eager with anticipation to see their fellow bigots attack them for it. Peter LaBarbera quickly obliged and attacked Warren Throckmorton as well:

Miami-Dade Closes All Bathrooms on Election Day

In one of the most staggering bits of malfeasance I’ve ever heard of, Miami-Dade County in Florida has decided to shut all the bathrooms at polling places on election day, preventing anyone in line to vote from going to the bathroom.

Utah Withdraws Use of Regnerus Study

On Thursday the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments in the appeal of a district court decision striking down Utah’s ban on same-sex marriage. In the wake of the Michigan case, they sent a letter to the court distancing itself from Mark Regnerus’ terrible study, which they had used at the trial level. That letter said, in part:

‘Gay Supremacy’ Worse than White Supremacy

Mary Baker is one of those rarest of creatures, a black tea partier. She is a speaker for Tea Party Nation and the leader of a group called Conservative Moms for America. And in this brief blog post she makes a staggeringly ignorant claim about something she thinks exists called “gay supremacy.”

The Failures of American Sex Education

Though teen pregnancy has been declining in recent years, America’s sex education system remains mostly a dismal failure, made far worse by the inane idea of abstinence-only sex education. A new report from the Centers for Disease Control provide some of the reasons why:

Public Opinion Matters Far Less Than Wealth

A new study confirms what anyone who has been paying attention has always known, that the views of wealthy people and powerful interest groups matters far more in influencing public policy than public opinion, even when voters are strongly in favor of a particular policy choice.

Jeb Bush Kills His Campaign Before It Starts

Jeb Bush apparently decided to destroy his chances of winning the Republican presidential nomination before he’d even decided whether to run when he made an entirely reasonable statement about why people often immigrate in order to help their families. Reasonable statements like this one do not help one in a Republican primary:

Miller: Right Wing Watch is Of the Devil

Gina Miller, one of the columnists for Matt Barber’s new right wing clown car BarbWire, isn’t too happy that Right Wing Watch has been quoting some of the bizarre, extremist rhetoric she spews in her columns. Which means they work for Satan, of course. Don’t we all?

Klingenschmitt: Life Begins Before Conception

Leave it to Gordon Klingenschmitt to inform us all that life doesn’t begin at the point of viability or when a heartbeat can be detected or even at conception. No, life begins before conception “in the mind and heart of God.” So if you use birth control, you’re thwarting God’s will and you’re going to burn in hell. You have been warned.

Steve Deace Lies and Exaggerates

Wingnut radio show Steve Deace is so far to the right that he makes Michael Savage look like Noam Chomsky. He’s also highly dishonest and not very bright, which is why he says really stupid things like claiming in a column in the Moonie Times that ending sodomy laws led to fascism in America.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Jim DeMint

From the moment Jim DeMint first ran for the Senate on a platform of banning teachers who are gay or pregnant, I knew he would be one to watch. He may even be the wingnut equivalent of the Chosen One, the one who is foretold in ancient tales who would say things so breathtakingly stupid that it would cause a black hole to open up and swallow the earth. Enjoy this idiotic diatribe from an interview he did with Jerry Newcombe:
