Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Robertson vs Ham

After Pat Robertson came out recently and said, in response to Marco Rubio’s rhetorical tap dancing on the subject of the age of the earth, that the Bible doesn’t require the earth to be only a few thousand years old, you knew Ken Ham was going to get all pissy about it. Sure enough.

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Rush v Norquist

Grab a ringside seat for Rush vs Grover Norquist, folks. Not Rush Limbaugh, mind you, but Erik Rush, the Worldnutdaily columnist who is black but thinks America suffers from an excess of “negrophilia.” While regular Republicans are starting to tire of Norquist’s anti-tax pledge, Rush exposes the real truth about Norquist:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Phelps vs Klingenschmitt

David Pakman had an interesting little debate on his show between Jonathan Phelps, part of the Phelps clan from the Westboro Baptist Church, and Gordon Klingenschmitt, the impossibly stupid and dishonest former Navy chaplain turned public joke. When you think Klingenschmitt, who thinks gays should undergo exorcisms to rid them of demons, is too liberal and squishy on the subject, you’re just plain whacked.

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Billy Graham Edition

I and many others noted recently that the Billy Graham Evangelical Association scrubbed their website of material that called Mormonism a cult immediately after Graham endorsed Mitt Romney for president. It seems other noticed it too, including some of his fellow fundies who are very upset about that:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Farah vs Rove

It’s fun watching the right go at each other over Todd Akin’s idiotic statement about rape and pregnancy. Virtually the entire Republican establishment, along with some of the whackos, have called for his head, while a bunch of far right figures are defending him. Karl Rove made an ill-advised joke about killing Akin and now the hard right wants him gone. Joseph Farah is demanding that Mitt Romney dump Rove:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Keller vs the GOP

As much fun as our regular fundies are, the really loopy ones like Bill Keller are just a barrel of laughs. Keller, who bills himself as “the world’s leading Internet Evangelist,” seems to do little more than put out press releases taking his fellow wingnuts to task for not being pure enough — especially if they would vote for a Mormon. Here’s his latest:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Farah vs D’Souza

Joseph Farah loves Dinesh D’Souza and has been busily promoting the latter’s idiotic documentary that expands his ridiculous accusations — not praise, accusations — that Obama is “anti-colonial.” I don’t know how that could possibly be a bad thing, especially to someone born in India, but D’Souza’s brain is little more than a fever swamp of right wing crazy. Farah is not happy, however, that D’Souza is not a birther:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: McCarthy vs Gaffney

Frank Gaffney and Andrew McCarthy are partners-in-stupid when it comes to their ridiculously paranoid claims that America is on the verge of being taken over by Sharia law. But Gaffney is also a birther and claims that Obama is likely a Muslim rather than a Christian. So when McCarthy and Gaffney held a joint press conference to defend Michele Bachmann’s loopy claims of Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of the government, McCarthy called those ideas “nutty” and “stupid” but then tried to pretend he wasn’t talking about Gaffney.

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Keyes v Scalia

Justice Scalia has been on a publicity tour for his latest book and giving interviews to major media outlets. One of the things he has said over and over again throughout his time on the bench is that majoritarianism should rule in the absence of a specific right named in the constitution (like most conservatives, he pretty much erases the 9th Amendment — at least when it suits his purposes). Alan Keyes quotes one such recent statement:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Farah v Wurzlebacher

Pop the popcorn, kids, it’s wingnut on wingnut crime time again. This time it’s Joseph Farah of the Worldnutdaily vs (Not) Joe the (Not) Plumber. NJNP, as I will henceforth call him in this post, told CBN that Obama was blessed by God to become president after leaving Islam for Christianity, and that makes them brothers:

Wingnut on Wingnut Crime: Palin vs Ailes

Ah, it’s another little dustup between Roger Ailes and Sarah Palin. It’s not the first and it probably won’t be the last, but it also won’t do anything to change their relationship — he’ll keep paying her as long as people find her word salads appetizing and she’ll keep going on Fox to vomit them forth as long as they’re paying her.
