That’s the latest meme from the right wing smear machine. A guest on Fox News, Republican strategist Brad Blakeman, responded to the FDA’s decision to allow the sale of Plan B contraception to those 15 and up without a prescription by declaring that Obama was “encouraging criminal behavior.” Read more

A few weeks ago a federal judge ruled that the Obama administration had acted in a manner that was “arbitrary and capricious” in not allowing Plan B contraception — the morning after pill — to be sold to girls under 17 without a prescription. The FDA has now approved it for sale to those 15 and older. Read more

A judge in North Dakota has declared unconstitutional a law passed in North Dakota that forbid the use of medications to induce abortion during the first trimester. The judge called arguments that such procedures are dangerous “exaggerated or contrived.” Read more

With all the coverage of the bombings at the Boston Marathon, I almost missed this story out of West Virginia, where a high school held a mandatory assembly to yell at kids about how horrible it is to have sex. The assembly, which you can hear below, was mostly a woman named Pam Stenzel screaming at them. Read more
