The Women at the Wall, a group of Jewish women who have long sought the right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem along with men, did so for the first time with police protection on Friday. A question for wingnuts: Is there anything that doesn’t risk God’s wrath? If we let gay people get married, we’re inviting God’s wrath. And if we let women get abortions. And if we don’t do absolutely everything the Israeli governments demand, Pat Robertson warns. Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel has apparently never met a violent anti-gay bigot he didn’t support. As Right Wing Watch points out, just the other day Barber tweeted his strong support of Martin Ssempa, the Ugandan minister who pushes that infamous “kill the gays” bill. Read more

Uganda is not the only country in Africa being led by violently anti-gay bigots. Gambian President Yahya Jammeh regularly threatens the lives of gay people and says that if they are caught in his country, they will be shown no mercy because they are pushing “satanic rights.” Read more
