Mitt Romney, who is on record saying that people and corporations should be allowed to contribute any amount they want to a campaign, doesn’t seem to think that should apply to teachers unions. Because that would be a conflict of interest.

Remember when Mitt Romney appeared in front of a group of coal miners in Eastern Ohio a couple weeks ago? It’s now been revealed that the company that owns the mine required the miners to attend — and that they had to give up their pay for the day to do so.

This is really an incredible video of Mitt Romney, apparently speaking at a private fundraising dinner, talking about buying a factory in China. After finding out that the workers at the factory lived in terrible conditions, he casually accepted the seller’s claim that people actually liked that and wanted it in China.

Workers at Caterpillar have gone on strike as they try to negotiate a new union contract. Despite making record profits last year, and being on pace to break that record again this year, the company is insisting on a long pay freeze for all workers — but not the executives, of course.
