Dr. Oz Shouldn’t Use Twitter

In the wake of being firmly put in his place by Sen. Claire McCaskill during a Senate hearing, Dr. Oz apparently decided to ingratiate himself with his fans by asking what they were were eating that would be #OzApproved. It didn’t go well for him.

What part of the snake does “snake oil” come from anyway?

    The gullibility gland?

Him, Dawkins and so very many others.

Thing I wonder is why anybody does use it. Not a fan and baffled by why its such the rage these days.

I, too, wonder why the kids these days are on the AOL, Myspacing their Twitters. Back in my day we mailed punchcards to each other, dagnabit, and we were happy!

I agree with you StevoR. I’ve been using the internet since 9th grade (1993) and have used many different mediums including chats and forums. Twitter just makes absolutely no sense to me appeal-wise. It just seems to be an easy way to make oneself look like an idiot, instantly, to numerous people at once.

Well, I have been on this here Internet thingy since 1988, in college, when we did not have that Mosaic wussy tool to browse. We had to know the address in order to play MUD games. Next, you are going to complain about having to use 300 Baud dial up, spoiled kid.

Now, GET OFF MY INTERNET!!!! You young web-surfer!!!!

Twitter is useful to keep in touch with people that you know, or never know. I use it to share ideas, keep informed of current issues (via links in Twitter). With that said that it can be useful, I would never want to use it if I was a ‘person of prominence’. Of course, that is why the BlockBot was created – keeping the shit out of your Twitter feed.

Twitter is a super-convenient way to keep in touch and find out more about interesting subjects, just like Youtube comments.

Snake oil is made in the same way, and with the same parts, that baby oil is made. Man, the noises around the auger & press are revolting! At least the snakes don’t squeal when you tamp them in with a stick.
