Mikey Gets Email

Just in time for Father’s Day, Mikey Weinstein gets this email:

From: [email protected]
Subject: Unhappy Fathers Day kikey wienstien
Date: June 15, 2014 at 12:39:58 PM MDT
To: Information Weinstein

Die in agony. For what you and your fellow MRRF do to keep Christ Jesus from our soldiers you are the Dark father of All Lies. You are exposed for the what you are kikey wienstien. The Father of Hate for the only true Lord and Savior. He who will soon return to lay vengeance on your blackness. And He with our spirit filled Christian US of A military will destroy you and your evil family of demon followers. By Jesus hand you will soon be cast into the pits of your jew home in hell. To burn forever and ever screaming in pain. Rejoice in the Word! kikey wienstein’s Day of Judgment draws near.

John 8 and verse 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Can’t you feel that Christian love?

Also the Christian lack of education.

To burn forever and ever screaming in pain. Rejoice in the Word!

    That about sums it up.

I don’t know. I think the letter writer is just channelling many of the underlying ideas of their original cult guru, Gentle Jesus Meek and Mild. It’s not just the followers (although many are kind and wonderful people). It’s the core of the religion.

I suspect that the writer wrote the above screed with one hand. Reading such stuff one never fails to note the intense pleasure the thought of others burning in hell forever gives the writer.

No antisemitism here, folks. Nope, none at all.

The irony is that the writer surely thinks of him(?)self as a kind, gentle person, full of Jebus’s love.

For what you and your fellow MRRF do . . .

What is it with these people and the initialism “MRFF”? I don’t think I’ve seen one of these emailers get it right yet.

When some Christians use the term “Judeo-Christian”, I’m sure some of them think the first part is a martial art.

As the Dark Father of All Lies, I can confirm Mikey is my bro.

I reckon it’s a poe. Something about the way it piles on cliches that wouldn’t usually be found together in the same speaker group – “US of A” but “By Jesus hand”, “lay vengence” but “for ever and ever”. It’s a mixture of registers.

Fascinating fact: The verse the writer quotes has two possible interpretations in the original Greek. It could mean “You belong to your father (who is) the devil”, or it could be “You belong to the father of the devil”,

I was raised Catholic and maybe it’s a Catholic thing, but I was always taught that the spectacle of a soul being sent to hell was cause for distress, not joy. If I were still Christian and felt that Mikey was attempting to lead the troops astray, I would be urging him to seek redemption, not fire horrible accusations at him and celebrate his burning in hell.

OTOH, my in-laws are Protestant Christians, and I can’t imagine them celebrating someone lost to hell either.

Perhaps none of us were/are True Christians (TM).

I’m just glad Mikey can put up with this crap and keep going.

On the other hand, the fact that Jesus is really about to return is pretty exciting news.

I used to call Poe on things like this a lot more often, but I’m getting cynical in my old age.

Just noticed that email address. Phonetic “Goebbels at final solution dot com”.

    Nice touch, asshole.

I like to imagine Mikey Weinstein getting a good chuckle over such emails, but I’m afraid that what seems funny or vindicating in small doses (oh yeah, can’t you just feel the Christian “love”) becomes more and more wearing over time. He has been putting up with this crap for years, and boxes of it, and most of it directed specifically at HIM and his family.

If he decides to take a break and disappear into some faraway place for a while to snooze in the sun and do some birdwatching — I can’t say I’d blame him. Do it under an assumed name.

For what you and your fellow MRRF do to keep Christ Jesus from our soldiers…

Anyone else imagining Mikey as the clipboard-and-list-holding head bouncer at a club called “The Military” not letting Jesus through the rope?

“Come on, man, just let me in. My friends are inside! I’m sure I’m on the list!”

JESUS: Awwwwwww Mikeeeeee!!! All the other boys are allowed to go outside an’ wear their cammo an’ play army! How come I’ve gotta stay inside an’ be the Prince of Peeeeeeeceeee!!!

Was if god making us in his image, or the other way around?

I was raised Catholic and maybe it’s a Catholic thing, but I was always taught that the spectacle of a soul being sent to hell was cause for distress, not joy.

And when you point that out to one of these godbots, he/she will quickly admit you’re right — but the empty self-satisfied smile won’t leave his/her face.

Thomas Aquinas would disagree with you:

A thing may be a matter of rejoicing in two ways. First directly, when one rejoices in a thing as such: and thus the saints will not rejoice in the punishment of the wicked. Secondly, indirectly, by reason namely of something annexed to it: and in this way the saints will rejoice in the punishment of the wicked, by considering therein the order of Divine justice and their own deliverance, which will fill them with joy. And thus the Divine justice and their own deliverance will be the direct cause of the joy of the blessed: while the punishment of the damned will cause it indirectly.

I was raised a bible-believer(1) SBC grandson of a preacher, and the congregants often spoke with glee of the day when they could look over the rail at the tortured unbelievers.(2)

    (1) Not like those other. fake, Christians.
    (2) That will teach them to not listen to us! Stupid eggheads.

    Mikey Weinstein’s emailer:

To burn forever and ever screaming in pain. Rejoice in the Word!

    Taz @ 3:

    Artor @ 7:

Hercules @ 21 quoting Thomas Aquinas:

. . . the saints will rejoice in the punishment of the wicked, by considering therein the order of Divine justice and their own deliverance, which will fill them with joy. And thus the Divine justice and their own deliverance will be the direct cause of the joy of the blessed: while the punishment of the damned will cause it indirectly.

While the yahoo that wrote Mikey here is in a small population of conservative Christians who are overt in their demonstrated bigotry of Jewish people, this emailer’s rejoicing in the Christian god in spite of the threat of Hell is par for all Hell-believing Christians. All Hell-believing Christians who “rejoice in the Word”, are in some combination demonstrably stupid and evil. It remains troubling to me that Christianity’s demonstrably evil extremists are only a few degrees from those considered mainstream.

I can feel the author of this screed’s deep and abiding need to have his anti-psychosis medications re-balanced, and probably not for the first time.
