Oh, Lee Duigon

Lee Duigon, the Christian Reconstructionist now writing for Matt Barber’s new site BarbWire, thinks we’re afraid of him. He also thinks we give a damn what he thinks is or is not a sin. Don’t you love being told what it is you believe or fear? I know I do.

Various people, whose opinions I don’t respect, tell me I’m “a bigot.” This is because I continue to hold the core beliefs I’ve held for my entire life, and have not changed over to brand-new beliefs sponsored by servants of Satan.

They are particularly offended by my belief that homosexuality is a grave sin. It angers them that my belief is based on the words of the Bible, when really my beliefs ought to be based on their words.

That the wrongfulness of homosexuality has been universally held to by the human race, for thousands of years, offends them. To them, all of humanity has been dead wrong since the beginning of time, and only set right in the last few years… by them.

I will not change until the Bible changes. They hate that.

Nope. Not even close. I could not possibly give fewer fucks what you think might be a sin, or that you’re ignorant enough to believe that the human race has “universally held” that homosexuality is wrong. There is not a single fuck to be found anywhere in the vicinity. What I do care about is when you try to get your twisted, bigoted views written into the law. You can believe whatever the hell you want.

The bad guys are afraid of us. I don’t know why, but they really are afraid of us.

Only when you start picking up stones to throw, as you Reconstructionists are fond of doing.

I am constantly struck by how much people like Lee Duigon hate freedom and long for a totalitarian regime of rule by the “Saints”. I am also struck by how much they truly, deeply and thoroughly hate America and all it stands for.

Now let me illustrate why they think that!

Pissants like this putz must really be envious of Iran. They think that if only they had the same power that the mad mullahs have.

(off-topic) Ed – I can’t believe you aren’t all over the creepy Warren, Mi mayor Fouts denying an atheist a table at city hall – just “because he doesn’t like them”

Well I am. Afraid of them.

Not of him maybe but of them, the Xian Dominionists/Reconstructionists for sure.

They’ve been threatening to kill me for over a decade. I long ago lost track of how many death threats I’ve gotten.

Xian terrorism has been a problem for many decades and fundie xians can and do kill people.

The bad guys are afraid of us.

Not true. Normal people are afraid of you. Just about everyone with a working brain. These guys openly hate the USA, the US government, and just about everyone. They will destroy us if they can and they say so often.

Under biblical law 297 million US citizens would end up dead under a pile of rocks.

I don’t know why, but they really are afraid of us.

Homicidal maniacs and nihilists whose goal in life is to destroy what they can and kill what they can. I can’t afford to be murdered by xian religious kooks. I’ve got cats to feed and stuff to do.

True. Much of the Tea Party/GOP with their fundie xian base….seriously hate America and the US government.

We see it just about every day.

    1. Cross/Miller and the mobs of White Supremacist racists hate the US so much it occasionally overflows into murder.

    2. Those militia guys at the Bundy Welfare Queeen ranch with their expensive assault rifles are rabid America haters. You could tell they wanted to shoot federal employees so much, they didn’t mind dying themselves.

    3. The End Timers. The Doomsday preppers. The Apocalypse now crowd.

Hagee is just the latest in an endless line of fundie xian leaders calling the Apocalypse.

Fundie xians are so miserable, their best idea is to hope and pray their Sky Monster god comes back Any Day Now and kills 7 billion people and destroys the earth.

I/we don’t do that. We have better things to do with our lives.

Because all too often, the right wing loonies make good on their death threats?

    That should be normal people.

When people grab their kids and pets and run away screaming when they see Lee Duigon, he is doing it wrong. Being human that is.
