Attack of the Pro-Choice Gay People

A coalition of 50 LGBT and women’s rights groups have issued a statement opposing legislation that allow Christian-owned businesses to ignore laws they don’t like, including anti-discrimination laws. Naturally, the wingnuts are objecting to this unholy alliance:

But American Family Association president Tim Wildmon told LifeSiteNews that pro-life Christians who avoid taking a stand on the issue of homosexuality risk being defeated by a flank attack in the culture war.

“People have different callings and different passions and both of these issues are very important. But I would say that Christians need to see what is going on in America as spiritual darkness vs spiritual light. We have several areas of engagement,” Wildmon told LifeSiteNews.

Wildmon said he wasn’t surprised by the strategic allegiance of the homosexual lobby and the abortion lobby in the fight to block religious opposition to their respective causes. “The common denominator the homosexual activists have with Planned Parenthood is they both promote actions that are diametrically opposed to the laws of God as given to us in the Bible,” Wildmon said. “Abortion is the taking of innocent human life and homosexual behavior is immoral, unhealthy and unnatural.”

Let me flip this around. What do anti-gay and anti-choice groups have in common? They both think that the “laws of God as given to us in the Bible” should be the law of the land, either partially or completely. In other words, they’re theocrats.

…the laws of God as given to us in the Bible,” Wildmon said. “Abortion is the taking of innocent human life…

There is nothing in the Bible that says that.

Yeah, the Bible actually says that abortion is the destruction of someone’s property for which financial compensation is due.

Hell, Chiroptera, the Bible pretty much says the murder of the mother is just destruction of someone’s protery.

“The common denominator the homosexual activists have with Planned Parenthood is they both promote actions that are diametrically opposed to the laws of God as given to us in the Bible,”

I am fine with that. In fact, I strongly encourage you to use that justification in your legal defenses.

Actually the bible places no value on fetuses and infants less than 1 month of age. (Leviticus 27:6)

The bible also infers that fetuses and infants under 1 month of age are not in fact people. (Numbers 3: 15-16)

I am struck by the fact that they are basically saying that the women’s groups are only interested in abortion. It is consistent with them always trying to negate the women when she is pregnant

To be more clear, they have it in common that they believe their religion should be established as the state religion, which is expressly forbidden by the word and the spirit of the first amendment to the constitution of the United States.

Yes, the Bible is very definitely pro-choice. There are shit-tons of people killed in that frickin book, and nobody gives a shit.

Today seems to be “wedge issue” day. I so heartily encourage them to keep reproductive freedom shackled to LGBT rights. Don’t ever, ever let them get separated. Do everything they possibly can to make sure that they’re a package deal across the board and in every corner of the USA, and all because Jesus insists that that’s the way it needs to be.

I think we all know how much Jesus went on about gay marriage and abortion. If only he’d offered opinions on forgiving sinners and not judging, just imagine what he might have said.
