Holy Underwear vs No Underwear

A preacher in Nairobi, Kenya has ordered the women of his congregation not to wear bras and panties when they come to church so they’ll be more free and open to receiving the spirit of Christ. Kinda brings a whole new meaning to “eat of my body” for communion.

A local pastor has ordered all women who attend service at Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church to refrain from wearing undergarments while attending so that they can more easily receive the spirit of Jesus Christ.

The Kenyan Daily Post is reporting that a pastor identified only as “Reverend Njohi” claimed bras and underwear are not godly. Additionally, the paper says Njohi wants women who attend service at the church to be “free,” and that there would be consequences for those who do not comply.

According to the UK Metro, most women did, in fact, show up at the church, located in the eastern suburb of Dandora, the following Sunday without any undergarments on under their clothing.

There appears to be no truth to the rumors that the Mormon church in Kenya was going to be outside the church to hand out their holy underwear to women who came without them.

And he verified this how, exactly? Definite creepy vibes from this guy.

Right. That’s what Jeebus wants. It has nothing to do with this preacher getting off thinking about the women naked under their dresses. Nope, not a chance.

“… consequences if they don’t comply.” This sounds more like an S&M arrangement than anything religious. Will there be spankings? “You wore underwear? Come here you naughty little girl.” “Oh Master, I’ve been a bad, bad girl. Please give me more your holy spirit!”

This is just blatant slander. It is well known that members of the LDS church have to earn their magic underwear.

Or, typical brown person welfare, getting for free what white, middle Americans have to earn!

But, yeah, I’m with Eamon Knight, dude’s a creep, although I figured that his order to be “free” explained the verification process. Now that I think of it though, unless his congregation was really small that might not be a sufficiently repeatable test in the time they have during church.

May 21, 2008 – Officials in Kenya say a mob has killed 11 people accused of being witches and wizards, in some cases slitting their throats or clubbing them to …

This happens a lot in Kenya. This article is from 2008 but it happens every year including last year. The witches almost always are the most vulnerable of society, children, old people, old women.

BTW, think carefully about whether you want to read the articles and know more. It’s gruesome and sometimes they have photos you can’t forget easily.

Browsing around the Kenyan Daily Post, I don’t exactly get the impression that it’s a particularly trustworthy news source.

A few months ago, I saw this documentary that interviewed preachers in West Africa who, in their previous “careers”, were employed to recruit child soldiers using drugs, malnutrition and other brainwashing techniques. Even those who appeared to be genuine believers were clearly still acting out their domineering, sociopathic tendencies. This guy is obviously of a similar breed.
