First They Came for the Bigots…

Matt Barber’s new website, Barbwire, might as well be renamed Godwinwire at the rate it’s throwing out Nazi comparisons. Jeff Allen, a Methodist pastor from Indiana, starts with Niemoller’s famous “first they came for” statement and then goes after the “GAY-stapo.” Get it? The gay-stapo! They’re so clever, aren’t they?

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out where things are rapidly heading in our country. Before the accusations of paranoia or overly melodramatic exaggerations are cast my way, let me remind you to never underestimate the subversive schemes of a true radical Leftist with an amoral axe to grind. With their notorious enemies’ lists, they have a very unscrupulous way of marginalizing or eliminating their opposition…

Many on the Left disdainfully remark that traditional marriage supporters are on the “wrong side of history,” and they will gloatingly point to our recent string of losses at the hands of a rogue judiciary, state legislatures, and activist politicians as evidence that they are winning…and we are losing. So, why are many people like myself going against the “inevitable” flow of “gay rights”? The primary reason, of course, concerns the biblical instructions regarding the divine definition and sanctity of marriage. However, there is another critical reason why many Christians and concerned citizens stand against the homosexual agenda at events like the Pro-Traditional Marriage Rally in Indianapolis. We do so because we realize that these social and political arenas represent a buffer zone between the militant homosexuals and the church itself. Once civil marriage laws fall and the so-called anti-discrimination laws fill the void, we know that the church and its ministers will be next…

When Matt Barber recently published an article on our own BarbWire entitled Liberal Love: Matt Barber Will be ‘Tried’ & ‘Hanged’ for ‘Crimes Against Humanity’, the virulent and extremely hateful comments would have been a lot more laughable and easily dismissed as the ravings of a liberal lunatic mind if they weren’t so sinisterly representative of the Nazi-like homosexual activist’s deepest, darkest desires. Many of them really do console themselves with fantasies of their own Kristallnacht, in which Christians are euphemistically “taken out of the way” as part of the “gay”-stapo’s “final solution” to the “Christian problem.” The torturing or hanging of Matt Barber and other Christians like him is shockingly not off the table for the most rabid among them…

All of the facts chronicled above, however, have been, and continue to be, conveniently swept under the rug by the “gay”-stapo’s media propagandists. Today’s, mainstream media collaborators could teach Joseph Goebbels a thing or two…

This is why I continue to fight the good fight for true marriage! Surrender will never be an option. As a pastor, I am not going to sit around and wait until they come after me and my church in what amounts to an updated version of Rev. Niemöller’s list. It will be too late by then.

*yawn* Wake me up when these delusional paranoid fantasies ever come true. I’ll be happy to fight for the rights of Christians, as I’ve done many times. But these are people who think they’re being persecuted when someone tells them “happy holidays,” so I’m not holding my breath.

Several years too late I’m afraid.

…let me remind you to never underestimate the subversive schemes of a true radical Leftist with an amoral axe to grind.

Amoral axes to grind? What ever could you mean Mr. Allen? Do you mean an “amoral axe” like scapegoating a minority group, declaring them a threat to the very foundation of civilization and using myths, propaganda and outright lies to demean, dehumanize and degrade them?

Many on the Left disdainfully remark that traditional marriage supporters are on the “wrong side of history,”

Actually no. There are vast numbers of “traditional marriage supporters” who are on the right side of history – the President and Vice President, for instance. That’s because one can continue to support the institution of man/woman marriage while simultaneously supporting the expansion of that legal contract to include all couples, regardless of gender.

Once civil marriage laws fall and the so-called anti-discrimination laws fill the void, we know that the church and its ministers will be next…

Just like anti-discrimination laws have forced Roman Catholic churches to marry divorced people? Or anti-discrimination laws have forced Mormons to allow non-Mormons to witness their marriages?

But go ahead, Mr. Allen, continue your protestations of oppression as loudly and often as you can. In fact, I urge you to use every legal means of communication at your disposal (all of which will never be censored by the government) to promote your ideas. You are only helping drive more and more decent people into the camp that believes in true American equality.

No, Jeff Allen, I’ll tell you exactly what’s going to happen.

Gay marriage will become fully legal. The government will issue marriage licences to gay couples. Many churches will perform marriage ceremonies for gay couples because they don’t view gay marriage as an abomination the way you do. People like you will start facing social pressure, but zero legal pressure, to provide gay marriage services and you will complain that you are being attacked for your beliefs, interpreting social pressure and stigma as government tyranny. The world will keep spinning, and you will keep predicting the rise of a new nazi nation that will never come to be.

    Is that crickets I hear?

To be fair axes, like other inanimate objects are amoral. People on the other hand have no excuse for immoral actions like say, supporting the new law in Uganda.

‘Course, that makes you sound kind of stupider, right?

Jeff Allen can’t help it if he spends an inordinate amount of his time thinking about gay men in Nazi uniforms doing unspeakable things to him.

Ed, you don’t want to sleep that long (forever), you’ll miss all the fun!
Will the “gay”-stapo have a float in the Big Gay Parade? Right behind the Big Gay Bandwagon?
Oh, I hope so. I bet it will be awesome!

  10. D. C. Sessions says

And all of Mr. Allen’s discourse still begs the question:

Is it impossible for him to follow his religion if the State does not enforce it on everyone? If so, is the problem with the State or with his (lack of) faith?

  11. dingojack says

Marcus – the problem is that the ‘gay bandwagon’ got jammed down the throat of the ‘gay lobby’ whilst trying to take the elevator to the upper floors.
    True story.

Wait, the Left has “notorious enemies’ lists?” What the hell is he talking about? I mean, if they are notorious, I feel like I should have heard of them.

Indiana? Bwahahahaha. I’m just surprised he has enough time to worry about THE JOOZ given the typical Hoosier Hater’s focus on dark skinned invaders!

Yes Mr Allen, I don’t need a genius to tell me that people of your ilk are elderly and more of you die everyday. You are becoming a smaller percent of the voting public every year. Eventually none of you will be around and the country will be better for it.

    JESUS, wotta fuckin’ drama queen!

    What, too soon?

  19. says

Too bad these guys don’t bother to read their own holy book’s bits about marriage. “Traditional marriage” apparently involved one man marrying as many women as he could get away with, often whether the women in question wanted to be married or not.

Guys like Allen are good evidence ghosts don’t exist. If they did those of the victims of the Nazis would likely be haunting Allen en masse for spewing such bullshit.

  20. Robert B. says

@17: He might be thinking of the SPLC’s list of hate groups.

@OP: Honestly, at this point I want a rubber stamp that says “You know who else hated gay people? Hitler.” Then I’d have a quick and efficient way to respond to these offensive “gay nazi” claims. There’s too many of them for any other method.
