Mikey Gets Email

My friend Mikey Weinstein went on The Young Turks with Cenk Uyger recently and got this very charming email from a raging bigot. It’s got all the usual anti-Jewish hatred and some anti-Arab hatred as well. I’m sure this looks much better in the original crayon scrawled on a Walmart bag.

> From: [email protected]

> Subject: Kikey Whinersteen and Cenk The A-rab Uyger

> Date: January 27, 2014 10:04:05 PM MST

> To: Information Weinstein

>

> Hey Kikey Whinersteen. It figures you’d go on a TV show hosted by filthy stinking muslem arabs like Cenk Uyger (notice stupid non-American name). You and him fooled no true Americans. None.

>

> He sucked your perverted curcumsized dick real good for you on TV. Didn’t he Kikey? The only things uglier than your and Cenks faces are your skank wives. You and Cenk must be pitiful hard up. 2 uglier women then your squaws there are not. What you expect of she-kikes and she camel-jockeys?

>

> Oh and Nice try crucifying our savior Jesus Christ again and again on the A-rab’s TV show. It’s all a hellbound hebe like you would know anyway. Can’t you get it threw your jew head that America’s armed forces are designed to be of The Christ and for The Christ. And only The Christ? The military’s Mission is to kill the rag heads. Convert the jewboys and jewgirls or kill them too. Liquidate the fags and queers. And terminate the abortionists and socialists. Nuke em all.

> Your days are numbered Kikey Whinersteen. Too bad you were born too late for the crematory camps.

>

> Christ returns soon. His kingdom come Thy will be done. America’s armed forces are Christ’s right hand.

>

> Stop your jew war on Jesus The Christ in the military now. you will not be warned again.

>

> We pray for your long and painful children’s deaths. They are drench in the blood of your sins. Suffer as you make Christ Jesus suffer you fucking kike.

>

> On your knees to The Christ NOW!

>

> Do it, Kikey! Heil Hitler!

Hitler would be so proud.

A-rabs are awful, but the B-rabs are worse, and don’t even let us get started of those damned C-rabs!

  2. doublereed:

I’m really feeling the Christian compassion with this one.

  3. doublereed:

    @1

Also not to be confused with Eeeeyyyyyy-rabs, which is the Fonzie version.

  4. somnus:

Is that a Poe? That can’t actually represent the real thoughts of a real human being that shares actual genetic heritage with the rest of the human race, can it?

  5. John Pieret:

A 10 on random hate but only an 8 on form. Not enough random capitalization.

  6. birgerjohansson:

What is a non-American name? Jacob? Mark? Luke? Psst! Those guys were all Jews! What about Jebediah (Jeb) and other biblical names in common use in Murka?

“America’s armed forces are designed to be of The Christ and for The Christ” ..but not for the Christians?

  7. birgerjohansson:

    Somnus,
Just got news that we share more genetic material with Neanderthals, but those guys were pretty smart. A H. Erectus atavism?

  8. timgueguen:

Note to idiot letter writer: Given the name of the show, and given Cenk Uyger ‘s name, I’m guessing Uyger is Turkish. And Turks aren’t Arabs.

The actual content of the letter reminds me of racist idiot Scott Bradbury, aka Doc Tavish. It reads very much like the crap he used to post on Usenet.

    Fixed it.

“The urge to dehumanise others is itself all too human” http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg22129521.500-the-urge-to-dehumanise-others-is-itself-all-too-human.html

So the letter writer may be a fairly normal Homo Sapiens Sapiens, but at the low end of the spectrum of…just about everything.

Turks are (mostly) descended from indo-european speaking peoples in Asia Minor who underwent a language transfer. They would be close to Armenians and Greeks. All peole of European descent have those among their ancestors, since neolithic farmers arrived to Europe that way.

And the writer has quite a thing for cunnilingus, it seems.

  11. Compuholic:

I’m confused. I would expect from a “true American” to actually be functionally literate in his own language. But then I am not even American so what do I know…

  12. birgerjohansson:

“The military’s Mission is to”…be Conan the Barbarian? Thulsa Doom? Yes, those snakes-as-arrows would be cool in combat!

  13. fredricmartin:

These letters are either from one person particularly vexed by homophones and fixated on bizarre insults like “jewboy” …. or more likely not actual hate mail at all.

  14. Nick Gotts:

or more likely not actual hate mail at all. – fredricmartin@13

Er, what? Do you send that sort of mail to your friends?

  15. David Marjanović:

Note to idiot letter writer: Given the name of the show, and given Cenk Uyger ‘s name, I’m guessing Uyger is Turkish. And Turks aren’t Arabs.

It’s Uyğur with u, and it’s Turkish. The ğ is more or less silent, and the c is pronounced like English j.

  16. David Marjanović:

    While I’m at it…

    Homo Sapiens Sapiens

Homo sapiens sapiens, with lowercase species and subspecies names, and in italics.

Pronoun problems with “His kingdom come, thy will be done.” Who’s will? My will? If it was his will the pronoun should be the same.

Also, I have always wondered how you spell “A-rab.” I know how to spell “arab.” But the one that’s pronounced “aye-rab” always had me wondering. It’s nice to get it from an authority.

  18. fredricmartin:

Nick Gotts, Ed has been publishing these letters for a number of years now, or as long as I’ve been reading the blog. They’re all bizarrely formulaic with what seem like obvious and intentional spelling problems, repeated bizarre insults and fixations.

I don’t believe these letters were sent to Mikey by multiple strangers. I don’t belive that Mikey is unaware of exactly who is writing these.

  19. Pieter B, FCD:

Funny how many people who claim to stand up for the US Army seem to think we fought on the wrong side in WW II, isn’t it?

  20. Ellie:

    “…stupid non-American name..”

Obviously, True Americans ™ have True American names such as…Reinhold Reince Priebus.

  21. sonwinks:

    Wow!!…..
Can you feel the love?….. The deep compassion and christ-like yearning for humanity?…. Nope…Can’t feel it….. Me neither!!….
And the Fundamentalist wonder firstly why droves are leaving the church and secondly why there is such push back on their idiotic, small minded, hate mongering, hypocritical religions…..
Let me present exhibit A, above…….

  22. iknklast:

That can’t actually represent the real thoughts of a real human being that shares actual genetic heritage with the rest of the human race, can it?

My brother. Only my brother actually spells much better, so this probably isn’t him, just someone like him.

And fredericmartin, it is entirely possible that these are all from different people and that Mikey has no idea who is sending them. This is a more common phenomenon than people like to acknowledge, and the Internet gives all sorts of hatred the ability to “blossom” (if hatred can be compared to something as beautiful as a flower)

Unfortunately, the history of internet comments and hate mail from many known sources shows that the common errors, insults, and fixations are shared across a wide spectrum of people. Yes, you can sometimes trace a particular idiosyncrasy to a single source (Goats on fire!) but that’s relatively rare because it would have to be either very bizarre or fitting a very tight pattern. People are often heavily influenced by peers.

  24. eric:

Interesting that Mr. raging bigot chose to listen to a show called ‘The Young Turks with Cenk Uyger.’

  25. grumpyoldfart:

Down the pub he’s as quiet as a mouse because he’s shit scared of being laughed at – but he toughens up when he’s on his own and writing emails.

    Have you asked him?

  27. Synfandel:

The writer’s “real American” name is probably “Writes Like an Idiot”.

  28. eoraptor:

Re comments about spelling, grammar, etc.

What the internet clearly shows is the spectacular failure of the US education system. I visit other sites, related to my hobbies, where invective and spittle are the exception. Nevertheless, poor grammar, poor spelling, and the improper use of words (oh yeah, random capitalization, too) reign supreme. I wonder if there’s any other industrialized nation on earth where the citizens speak, and write, their own language so poorly.

  29. birgerjohansson:

    David,
By using too many capital letters, I find myself in the same category as the insane letter writers! The horror…the horror…

By the way, who are the Rabs?

  30. martinc:

I have a sneaking suspicion that every country has grammar-clueless morons. The reason that America’s morons are so much more prominent is that in America the idea that everyone’s opinion is equally valid – whether they are educated on a given topic or not – is common. There’s a certain anti-elitist pride in ignorance that seems to have risen up in the USA at the moment … the election of George W. Bush was the culmination of this; a vote for the person most representative instead of most capable.

Thus every country has its ignorant people, but America’s are much more likely to feel justified in rushing their half-baked opinions into print.

No, unfortunately people that shit really do exist.

  33. StevoR : Free West Papua, free Tibet, let the Chagossians return!:

all the usual anti-Jewish hatred and some anti-Arab hatred as well.

Plus just a dash of anti-native Americans – the bit about the wives with extra misogyny to complete the set as well.

In terms of persuasive effect, I find this rather ..lacking.

I wonder if this guy was drunk or something because surely no body could or would write and send this sort of thing sober?

    @ 8. timgueguen

Note to idiot letter writer: Given the name of the show, and given Cenk Uyger ‘s name, I’m guessing Uyger is Turkish. And Turks aren’t Arabs.

Maybe the “writer” here thought it was Cenk the Uighur – a Chinese Muslim from Xinjiang? Pronounced something like “wee-gar” (& “Sin-keeang”) if memory serves?

    On second thoughts probably not.

I’m sure this looks much better in the original crayon scrawled on a Walmart bag.

Well it’d certainly look more colourful. I’d guess a lot of crayons got broke in the production of this one so very colourful indeed most like.
