Here’s another state investigation that found “rampant” voter fraud, a whopping 17 cases in Ohio, most of which were probably just mistakes by secretary of state office workers. But Fox News wants you to know that this happened in a “key swing state.”
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced Wednesday that his office found 17 non-citizens illegally cast ballots in the 2012 presidential election — and has referred the case for possible prosecution.
The alleged crime would be a notable case of voter fraud in a key swing state. By law, only American citizens are allowed the privilege of casting ballots for the nation’s leaders…
President Obama beat Mitt Romney in Ohio by just 2 percentage points in November 2012.
Uh, yeah. There were 2.7 million votes cast in Ohio in 2012. That 2% margin was 104,000 votes. So those 17 votes comprised .00017% of the margin (and that would assume that they all voted the same way, which is unlikely). OMG! They’re stealing the election! And bear in mind that the way undocumented people end up on voter rolls is not through intentional fraud, it’s because they go in to get a driver’s license, are given a voter’s registration and they just fill it out. If it’s not flagged, they go on the rolls and they likely don’t even know that they aren’t supposed to be eligible.
