Swanson seems blithely unaware of the vast horrors perpetrated by those who in the past actually did impose theistic laws on their fellows.

  2. Abby Normal says

The homosexuals are pushing into every nook and cranny…

    *snerk*

Anyway, I listened to the clip twice and I don’t hear where he’s calling for homosexuals to be imprisoned. He says they/we should be prosecuted in accordance with God’s law. God’s law calls for homosexuals to be executed, not imprisoned.

peterh “Swanson seems blithely unaware of the vast horrors perpetrated by those who in the past actually did impose theistic laws on their fellows.”
    I doubt that.

  4. John Pieret says

God’s laws require that we prosecute homosexuals who are caught in the act of homosexuality or the act of sodomy on the basis of two or three witnesses. If Christians would do that, if Christian pastors would do that then we would be able to hopefully press back the line upon those who are impressing their rights upon Christians who really need that religious freedom.

Um … Ed, where in the Bible does it say homosexuals should be ilocked up? These guys may be mealy-mouthed about it but what they are looking for is executions.

And then there is this part:

hopefully press back the line upon those who are impressing their rights upon Christians

Because, you see, they can’t have religious freedom unless thay can take away everyone else’s rights.

John Pieret now, look, he’s got a point. If, as he says, homosexuals are out having sex in front of multiple witnesses…well, frankly I find that inappropriate. And I don’t care how long the line at the DMV is.

  6. D. C. Sessions says

Swanson seems blithely unaware of the vast horrors perpetrated by those who in the past actually did impose theistic laws on their fellows.

Don’t be silly. He not only looks to them for inspiration, he’s jealous.

Because, after all, come the Revolution, he knows that it’s him who’ll be calling the shots. Or, as it may be, stones.

The men who spurred us on sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide, and then the shotgun sings the song.

Unhinged bigot and supermassive asshole Kevin Swanson

There. I think that fixed it, Doug. Next time, just bring it on into the shop.

  8. jnorris says

If Mr Swanson actually believed what the Bible tells him to do, then he would be out killing homosexuals. Instead he, cowardly wants ‘the government’ to do it. He’s a yellow piece of crap.

  9. hunter says

Back to the basic response: Which god would that be? There are a few hundred to pick from. That we know about. (It gets kind of fuzzy when you start dealing with groups like traditional Japanese — the line between gods and spirits is kind of blurry, so there could be a few million.)

    Thumper:

“Caught in the act of homosexuality”? What does that even mean?

It means existing whilst gay, obviously. That’s a heinous crime, to some.

  11. felidae says

Just think what enforcing the dictates of Leviticus would do to the lobster and pork industries in the US How could the South survive without barbecued pork, not to mention the thousands of tattoo artists thrown out of work and millions slaughtered for working on Saturday

  12. says

One suspects that if Swanson and friends ever got their way there would be all sorts of interesting stories about how it was decided such and such a preacher or other important figure wasn’t really gay.
