Farah: Failed Klayman Rally a ‘Show of Force’

Funniest thing I’ve read yet on Larry Klayman’s failed “second American revolution” rally, from Joseph Farah:

Yesterday, for the first time, hundreds rallied near the White House to make the case for what amounts to a second American revolution through a show of force by the American people.

Uh, Joe. Your own publication estimated the crowd at 200. Others who were there say more like 100. Klayman said “millions” were going to show up. You yourself said a few week ago that “millions of tea-party activists are just waiting, like me, for an invitation to come to Washington to show the world some Americans still care about the principles upon which the nation was founded.” Klayman sent that invitation. So did you. And you drew a massive crowd of tens of people. Only on Planet Wingnuttia is that a “show of force.”

Well I guess it was a show of force of sorts – a show of just how *little* force the Klayman had.

Farah and Klayman had another bit of ignominy yesterday: they lost their appeal in their defamation suit against Esquire.

Note how WND reports it though:

Court rules in WND’s ‘Birth Certificate’ lawsuit
‘This is an issue for the jury to decide’

Their headline 1) doesn’t want to acknowledge that WND lost, and 2) the quote in the second line of the headline is from Larry Klayman, not the court.

  3. Abby Normal says

Ah, but those tens of people were true patriots. One true patriot is worth a thousand pansy-ass liberals. So really this rally was even bigger than Occupy Wall Street. But of course the lame-stream media ignores the patriot-to-liberal conversion ratio and simply reports the number of bodies, as if that’s a significant metric. They’ll be first against the wall when the revolution comes, right after the commie traitors, which I suppose makes them second against the wall. Oh, and the homos, they should be second. The media will be third against the wall when… Damn it, I forgot the atheists and the foreigners and, and… God, there are so many. The point is a reckoning is coming and it will totally validate me!

“Your own publication estimated the crowd at 200. ”

Joe counted the squirrels as part of the crowd not realizing they were just there for the nuts.

  5. Loqi says

He also counted the people who were there for the same reason many people watch the early season episodes of American Idol.

  6. D. C. Sessions says

Farah really meant a “show of farce.”

No, but since all we have a pictures we don’t really get the full impact of a show of farts.

  7. says

So, 100-200 counts as a sign of the people’s passionate desire for revolution, yet there are times when much larger numbers of people go through the trouble of protesting in D.C. but aren’t calling for anyone to step down from office.

  8. Al Dente says

Upon due consideration of Abby Normal’s data @4, as modified by DonDueed’s comment @9, I have determined that I might be as high as the 8th group against the wall or as far back as the 143rd group. I need Klayman to get off his dead ass and have a revolution to determine more precisely when I will be sent against the wall.

Come on, Klayman, quit loafing and have your damn revolution. We’re waiting!

  9. says

Funniest comment on WND on the original story where Klayman was claiming that the rally was the start of the Second American Revolution was from someone who complained that they couldn’t get off work and couldn’t afford the plane ticket.

Dammit, the Second American Revolution stymied for want of a plane ticket and vacation time…

  10. Ichthyic says

Only on Planet Wingnuttia is that a “show of force.”

well, that planet is rather tiny. more like an asteroid, really.

  11. Ichthyic says

Oh, and the homos, they should be second. The media will be third against the wall when… Damn it, I forgot the atheists and the foreigners and, and…

…and nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as ‘a bunch of mindless jerks who’ll be first against the wall when the revolution comes’ …
Curiously enough, an edition of the
Encylopaedia Galatica, that had the good fortune to fall through a time warp from a thousand years in the future defined the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as ‘a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came.’”
