Fischer: Soldiers Are Going to Kill Christians!

Bryan Fischer went on one of his typical unhinged rants on his radio show, claiming that Obama is prepping the military to kill Christians, fantasizing that troops may surround the hotel at the Values Voters Summit next year to attack the righteous.

If Obama is so skilled at influencing the military, composed predominately of Christians, why can’t he just directly influence the non-military conservative Christians as well?

It’s Obama’s backup plan, in case the drones fail (they’ve been upgraded with the “Are you a Christian?: Yes/No” data from Obamacare).

Has the craziness really gotten this bad, or has the internet just made it easier for extremist whackaloons to find an audience?

Because THEY are prepared! Their chief weapon is fear mongering … and radio … Their two weapons are fear mongering and radio … and the gullibility of their listeners … Their THREE weapons are fear mongering, radio and the gullibility of their listeners … and an almost fanatical hatred of Obama … Their FOUR weapons …. I’ll come in again.

Cut the guy some slack. The Sox were in the world series and he has been staying up late and had to come up with something quick.

I like how these rants are mutually exclusive yet no one notices. Obama is destroying our CHRISTIAN armed force and Obama is using the armed forces to kill CHRISTIANS.

These guys are going to be terribly disappointed when Obama leaves office.

I really want to watch the video when Fischer finally pops a vein in his skull from his unhinged ranting. I’m looking forward to the mouth-frothing, and the eventual final thump as he face-plants on his desk. Please make sure to post that vid when it eventually happens, Ed.

[W]hy can’t [Obama] just directly influence the non-military conservative Christians…?

    The USA is 68% xian.

The military is drawn from the population and is likely somewhere around 68% xian.

So how is Obama going to get the xian military to kill the xian population?

Besides which, xians make up 215 million people. What are they going to do with all that dead meat and why does it make sense for a country to slaughter most of its citizens.

Fischer is babbling here. The better question is how many people believe nonsense like this?

PS In point of fact, Obama has taken steps to preserve the xian population in a healthier and long living state. It’s called the Affordable Care Act. And is opposed by…Fischer. Now who is trying to kill off the population here?

By “surrounding the Omni Hotel with cannons and water guns and who knows what else…”

    Maybe even pepper spray!

“These guys are going to be terribly disappointed when Obama leaves office.”

Nope. It’ll mean nothing. I have relatives who stockpiled food because Bill Clinton was going to use the Y2K disaster to herd people into cities where they could be controlled, declare himself emperor, etc. When I remind them that never happened, they say things like “Well it just hasn’t happened YET.” No reasoning gets through their mental barricades.

Not to worry. When Bamz is gone we’ll have President Hillary “Bengazi” Clinton and it’ll be all aboard the crazy train again.

Has the craziness really gotten this bad, or has the internet just made it easier for extremist whackaloons to find an audience?

It’s a bit of each, really. The internet made it easier for these folks to reach one another and form communities large enough to self-reinforce. It takes a lot of effort to be the town conspiracy theorist if everyone is telling you you’re wrong. However, once you’ve got a group of people saying, “Hey, that makes sense,” then you start getting some of the same dynamics you get in cults, where anyone outside the group is immediately considered suspect, and therefore their opinions are discounted.

And, of course, you have a larger opportunity for con men, in addition to ‘honest’ nutjobs, who are just in it for the donations, to gather a herd of the faithful and encourage them to keep on believing. By definition, a good con man is persuasive, so it becomes harder for their victims to see how they’re being manipulated.

@9 Remember it’s only true Christians who will be target and they are defined as people who might donate to Fischer as a result of this scare.

To make this paranoid fantasy seem more real to the masses, I suggest they mount a false flag operation. A very bloody, very complete false flag operation so that there can be no doubt. Realism people!

Gee. Haven’t Christians been killing Christians since Day One?

Christians love to play the martyr. They pay good money to Mr Fischer on the condition that he tells them scary stories about getting killed for Jesus. If he told them everything was fine and dandy there would be an instant drop in donations to his cause.

    @Raven:

    The USA is 68% xian.
The military is drawn from the population and is likely somewhere around 68% xian.

I suspect the military is actually more Christian than the population as a whole. Enlisted personnel are, in general, less educated than the general population and thus more likely to be religious. Officers are generally educated, but also more conservative than the general population.

I keep telling myself that the more idiots like Barton make these falsifiable near-term predictions, the more their followers will begin to see they are being lied to and pull away. I hope it’s true. It probably isn’t.

Mr Ed @5: Cut the guy some slack. The Sox were in the world series and he has been staying up late and had to come up with something quick.

Wrong Sox. The Red Sox were in the Series. The White Sox went 63-99 and actually managed to have a worse season than the Cubs for the first time in a while. The Cubs went 66-96.

There’s a reason Chicago was super excited for the start of the hockey season and the whole thing where the Bears actually managed to win a few games and look like a legitimate team.

What Obama would probably really like to surround the Values Voters hotel with would be honest and diligent journalists who would accurately report what all the wackos are saying inside together with the reality that shows how crazy they are.
