Bradlee Dean Tries to Square the Circle

Is there anything more ridiculous than watching wingnuts claim simultaneously that President Obama is establishing a gay dictatorship and turning America into a Muslim country with Sharia law? Bradlee Dean, who has claimed that Obama was secretly gay himself, ties himself in knots trying to make both arguments.

“Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., a third-term congressman and a co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. On the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Rights page on his House website, Ellison notes that he is ‘proud to be vice-chair of the Congressional Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Caucus.’”

– ThinkProgress

This last week, the radical Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison, was again proud to be named the vice-chairman of the Congressional LGBT Caucus.

Yes, Ellison is a pro-gay rights radical Muslim. He’s also purple and invisible at the same time. And a very tall short person too.

Speaking of extremes, why is it that the Muslims have yet to be called into question by the radical homosexual communities concerning the Muslims’ call for the execution of the homosexuals?

Yet, the radical homosexuals will attack anyone that stands up against their abominable lifestyles by warning them of their sins before a just and holy God in preservation of their life and their souls (Ezekiel 3:18). Just ask Rachel Maddow who attacks my ministry for warning the homosexuals that the radical Muslims are calling for their executions.

Now that’s funny. We don’t have to ask Rachel Maddow, we can ask Bradlee Dean. Here’s how he “warned” homosexuals that radical Muslims — you know, like Keith Ellison, who is pro-equality — want to kill them:

“Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America. This just shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination.”…

“They are very conservative,” he said. “They sentence people for crimes against nature.”

Frontman Bradlee Dean added, “They are very moral; they uphold the laws.”

McMillian continued, “We have got countries all over the world that are standing for what’s right and what’s wrong. In Rwanda, there’s legislation right now that repeat offenders of homosexuality will spend their life in prison.”

“Yes!” interjected Dean.

“Because they love and value life and they love and value that which God gave,” said McMillian. “And so they enforce laws against that which destroys life which again is crimes against nature.”

Yep, that’s how you “warn” gay people that Muslims want to kill them, by praising those people as “very moral,” in fact “more moral than even the American Christians” because they want to kill gay people.

So for those who are scoring at home: Keith Ellison, the vice-chair of the House LGBT Caucus who favors equal rights for gay people, is “radical Muslim” who wants to enforce Sharia law; Bradlee Dean, who praises those radical Muslims who want to kill gay people under Sharia law and calls them “very moral” is a God-fearing, patriotic American Christian who just loves freedom and stuff.

Oh, and he had to throw in a fake quote at the end:

One might want to take the time and ask Keith Ellison how he reconciles his radical ideology with that of our Founding Fathers:

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people (under the umbrella of Christianity). It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

– John Adams, second president of the United States

The part in parentheses are a complete fiction. John Adams did not say that. Oh, and he has one last nugget of stupidity to offer:

Taking it another step, look at who President Barrack Hussein Obama and this current administration have appointed to key positions in government–over 225 homosexuals. Talk about discrimination towards heterosexuals.

I know, right? Every time a gay person gets a job, a straight person has obviously been discriminated against. But that’s exactly what a radical Muslim who wants Sharia law would do, he’d appoint lots of gay people to government positions — the same government he allegedly wants to put gay people to death. It’s like Dean drinks in reality through a silly straw.

Watching them try to do all that and lick their own elbows.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people”

Some of us are moral, and some are religious. For everyone else, there’s the criminal court system.

    Random,
I think that the Criminal Court System has had to deal with religious persons, from time to time.

Does Rabbi Lapin, in the posting above, realize that he does not qualify?

I would like to respond to Mr. Bradlee with quotation from another great American

“ENGLISH MOTHER FUCKER! DO YOU SPEAK IT?” Samuel L. Jackson. 1st President of Badassery.

To be fair, the Vikings have proven this season that being purple and invisible at the same time is totally possible.

One problem is that since the Republican Party is being divided, it is in the wingnuts’ best interests to try to divide the Democratic Party. To them, anybody who opposes one of their positions is an enemy, all of their enemies are working together, and there is only one other major party — the Democrats. Thus, to them, the Democratic Party is a coalition of radical homosexuals and radical Muslims. If the Republicans can somehow divide them, so the thinking goes, the Republicans will be stronger than the Democrats.

Of course, in a two-party system, for such a strategy to work, the Republicans have to actually be offering an attractive alternative to at least one of the groups. Giving equal time to demonizing homosexuals and Muslims is not going to attract either. Even if a member of one group disliked the other, that person is still likely to vote for the “least disagreeable” party, the Democrats.

The Democrats have been attracting many former Republicans, including pro-gay Christians and homosexuals who can get along with tolerant Christians and Muslims, as opposed to the intolerant Christians in the Republican Party. But this isn’t so much an intentional divide and conquer strategy as it is “playing to the center”, something that the Republicans don’t understand anymore. That is why their party is splitting.

I realize the wingnuts incorrectly think all Muslims in the Democratic Party are extremist. But there probably are actually a few extremist Muslims in the party simply because the Republicans are so anti-Muslim. Are homosexuals going to leave the party because some Democrats might be religious extremists? No, because the party platform does not advocate religious extremism. Will the religious extremists leave because the Democrats are too pro-gay-rights? Maybe, and good riddance. The numbers are too small to matter because the Democrats play to the center, not the extremes.

Sometimes the Republicans try to divide anti-gay black Christian Democrats from pro-gay Democrats, but the same issues arise: the extremists aren’t as critical as with the Republicans, and the Republicans still aren’t providing an attractive alternative to black Democrats. This dividing might matter in a close single-issue referendum (it is mattering less as more people are accepting gay rights), but not for elections of candidates representing multiple issues.

As for how some wingnuts think an individual person can be both an extremist homosexual and an extremist Muslim — I’m not sure. Again, it is partly because they lump all their enemies together and assign the label “extremist” to every opposing position. But then the wingnuts either are ignorant of the inconsistencies, or they think they are the only ones who are aware of the inconsistencies and must inform these dual-nature extremists of the internal contradiction. Either way, it only demonstrates that the wingnuts aren’t very bright.

Nihilismus: or they think they are the only ones who are aware of the inconsistencies and must inform these dual-nature extremists of the internal contradiction.

    No, that’s not it.

To think that, they would have to understand the concept of internal consistency, and their minds shy away from that. These are people who have succeeded in inculcating and absorbing the lessons of blackwhite, newspeak, and crimethink. All enemies of Jesus-loving True American Real Men (and their girls) are obviously allies. Pointing out that these alleged groups are bad for contradictory reasons is a rhetorical trick; all that matters is that they upset Bradlee Dean the Tribe.

It may be that a few of the sociopathic financial elite (the 1% of the 1%) are aware of what’s going on, but they have no interest in enlightening the lost souls; they likely hold more contempt for their own minions(1) than they do for any political and philosophical activists opposing them.

    (1) The low information voters who routinely vote against their own self-interests, while running from one manufactured panic meme to another.

blackwhite: `…this word has two mutually contradictory meanings. Applied to an opponent, it means the habit of impudently claiming that black is white, in contradiction of the plain facts. Applied to a Party member, it means a loyal willingness to say that black is white when Party discipline demands this. But it means also the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know that black is white, and to forget that one has ever believed the contrary. This demands a continuous alteration of the past, made possible by the system of thought which really embraces all the rest, and which is known in Newspeak as doublethink.’

Once again, George Orwell shows his prescience (the quote is off Wikipedia, my copy of 1984 isn’t conveniently to hand).

Expecting clowns who can spout contradictory nonsense, as Dean does over and over again, ever to yield to logic is a total waste of time.

There are “over 225 homosexuals” appointed by Obama to federal positions. Oh, my! Clutch the pearls! That’s over three percent of the 7000+ positions listed in the “Plum Book,” which catalogs the jobs that the president has at his disposal. The lavender mafia controls the federal government!
