Fischer: Liberals Act Like Nazis!

Bryan Fischer went on one of his classic rants on his radio show, claiming that if “secular fundamentalists” ever get power, they’ll round up conservatives and force them to wear markers like the Nazis did to Jews and forbid them from owning businesses or running for office. This from the guy who says the First Amendment applies only to Christians. And once again Fischer wins his own award.

I thought we were forcing them to abandon the symbols of their faith in the public square. Next time you guys do a 180 on our tactics, you really need to send me the memo.

  2. says

As long as you’re talking about Fischer’s insane “nazi” lies, we might as well mention where his lies came from in the first place: libertarians.

  3. Artor says

Alverant, didn’t you get the memo? Nazis were gay atheist commie fascist Muslims, just like Obama.

  4. raven says

Fischer seems a little worried here. And not about “liberals” who he knows don’t have the heart or guns to round up kooks like him.

    1. The political wing of the fundie death cult xians, the Tea Party/GOP are losing popularity right now because of their attack on the USA and its democracy. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

    2. This might accelerate the people leaving the death cults. It’s been steady for a decade now. His own cult, the SBC has lost members for 6 years in a row.

    3. It might cost the cults and Fischer some money. Fewer members = Less money. Plus poor, sick, unemployed people in the new fundie paradise known as the Banana Republc States of America aren’t going to be sending money his way. They won’t have any. And Fischer is a moocher conperson.

The shutdown and attack on the USA will probably do some damage to the ones behind it, largely fundie xian death cultists. I say probably, because, well, death cults, who knows? They may never be happy until the streets run with blood. After all, their idea of a happy day is a Sky Monster killing 7 billion people.

Yes, I’m a Nazi, who embraces racial diversity, am progressive towards more social acceptance of other world views/lifestyles, and promotes an open and free society for everyone.

  6. raven says

So am I….a Nazi, who embraces racial diversity, am progressive towards more social acceptance of other world views/lifestyles, and promotes an open and free society for everyone…

plus a strong supporter of science, public education, and health care for everyone, who voted for Obama twice.

Fischer’s worst nightmare and proud of it.

  7. Nick Gotts says

He forgot the Nazis were conservative christians like himself. – Alverant

Well no, they really weren’t. We shouldn’t let the nonsensical lies of such as Fischer lead us into gross inaccuracy. While Nazism certainly drew on conservative Christian bigotries, it also drew on neo-pagan and pseudo-scientific “blood and soil” notions, and these were relatively stronger among the top leaders of the party.

  8. Chiroptera says

…they’ll round up conservatives and force them to wear markers….

Why would they be forced to wear “markers” when we can tell who they are just by listening to the stupid stuff they say whenever they speak?

  9. dugglebogey says

I think psychologists call this “projection.”

“This is what I want to do, so if they were in power, that’s what they would want to do!”

  10. raven says

A Gallup poll released Thursday indicates that backing for the tea party has hit near-record lows, as 22 percent of Americans consider themselves supporters. That’s down from 32 percent shortly after the 2010

    1. This is about as low as it can get.

    2. 20% of the US population thinks the sun orbits the earth, Geocentrism. Which tells anyone that 20% of the US public will believe anything, no matter how dumb it is.

    3. And FWIW, Obamacare so far looks very popular. The state web sites have been so overloaded, they’ve been crashing. I tried to get on one yesterday and it was only working sporadically.

  11. jnorris says

they’ll round up conservatives and force them to wear markers like the Nazis did to Jews… And the Gays, don’t forget the Gays Mr Fischer.

But we don’t need markers with the satellite surveillance and everybody has an implanted microchip.

  12. freehand says

Jasper of Maine: Yes, I’m a Nazi, who embraces racial diversity, am progressive towards more social acceptance of other world views/lifestyles, and promotes an open and free society for everyone.

To be fair, these are the quintessential characteristics of the Nazis.

raven: 20% of the US population thinks the sun orbits the earth, Geocentrism. Which tells anyone that 20% of the US public will believe anything, no matter how dumb it is.

About this… I wonder how many of these people are not determined geocontrists but simply too ignorant to know, and too incurious to care? If, say, 40% of the population didn’t know, and took a wild guess with two choices offered… it may really be twice as bad as the numbers might indicate.

Well for “markers” I suggest a goatskin skirt, a nose bone whittled into the shape of a crucifix, and a large chrome plated cross surgically attached to the skull.

Oh, and a banjo, always be required to carry a banjo,

That they are only allowed to play by using their nose bone as a pick.

    While still in the nose.
