Boykin: Constitution Inspired by God

Here’s Jerry Boykin, who was punished by the Pentagon for his habit of confusing duty to country with his theocratic religious views, telling Rick Joyner that they should have known Nadal Hassan was a terrorist because his allegiance was to Allah and not God. But Christians can be devoted to both the Constitution and God because the Constitution was inspired by God.

And that’s why there’s freedom of religion, non-establishment of religion, freedom of speech, and no religious test for public office. /snark

Huh. You’da thunk that if God were going to inspire a constitution, we’d have one where it wouldn’t be possible for a selfish, whiny minority to shut down the government when they didn’t get their way.

    Rick Joyner also contradicted himself.

Recently he called for the military to overthrow the US government and take over.

I missed where that was in the constitution.

Christian TV host asks God for ‘military takeover’ of Obama’s presidency

Raw Story ‎- by David Edwards ‎- 21 hours ago

Christian TV host asks God for ‘military takeover’ of Obama’s presidency … to consider a “military takeover” of President Barack Obama’s government … On his Monday Internet broadcast, Morning Star TV’s Rick Joyner predicted … And another thing the founders warned about is this thing will only work for a …

IIRC, advocating the overthrow of the US government is perfectly legal.

Calling for the violent overthrow of the US government is a felony. Or was at one time.

I keep asking why this isn’t treason. Maybe it isn’t, but it is close.

So called xians like Joyner are why I’m an ex-xian. What a creepy guy.

    Three-fifths of it, anyway.

They certainly have the “Ignorance is strength” part down verbatim!

IANAL, but I believe the courts have held that just advocating the overthrow of the United States government is a step short of actually “levying war against” the United States.

    IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

    (seems more fitting)

Given Boykin’s penchant for believing all sorts of things that are clearly refutable, I just cannot comprehend how he was a member of Delta Force and a three star general.

Surely he was advocating that the military take over the US government peacefully?

Well, I’ve heard…”the Protestants hate the Catholics, and the Catholics hate the Protestants; and the Hindu’s hate the Muslims; and everyone hates the Jews. Cuz it’s national brotherhood week…”
