WND Pushes Freemason Conspiracies

I’ve always been greatly amused by the contradictory claims on the far right about America’s founding. On the one hand, you’ve got the David Barton crowd which claims that the founding fathers were all Christians who intended to create a Christian nation. On the other hand, you’ve got those even further to the right with their loopy freemason conspiracies who say the Illimunati was behind it all and that America is part of a grand conspiracy to control the world and pave the way for the Antichrist. The Worldnetdaily promotes both of those ideas, as long as they can make money from them. At the moment, they’re pushing the second one.

From the founding of the United States, claims author Thomas Horn, this nation has been manipulated toward one goal: building an occult society that would one day welcome the spirit and person of the Antichrist.

In an exclusive interview with Sid Roth of “It’s Supernatural!” – now appearing weekly at WND-TV – Horn explains upper-level Free Masons among America’s Founding Fathers sought to weave patterns and symbols into U.S. government, architecture, even its very currency, reflective of the ancient Egyptian gods.

Did you know, Horn suggests, that the pattern of a dome facing an obelisk – such as can be seen at the Vatican or in Washington, D.C., where the U.S. Capitol faces the Washington Monument – is symbolic of the pregnant Isis and the phallic Osiris of Egyptian mythology?

Or that the Greeks took Osiris as their god Apollos, a derivative of the term “Apollyon,” which the New Testament uses to refer to the Antichrist?

Or that the Library of Congress records Thomas Jefferson specifically rejected several plans for building the nation’s Capitol, demanding instead that it be patterned after ancient, occult architecture?

And of course, the article is interrupted several times to tell you how you can buy the books and videos about this from their store:

See a store full of Sid Roth’s work, including, “They Thought for Themselves,” “Truth Seekers,” “Supernatural Healing,” “The Incomplete Church,” “There Must be Something More,” “Supernatural Experiences” and “Heaven is Beyond Your Wildest Expectations.”

Horn is also the author of “Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here.”

Get “Petrus Romanus” along with the highly acclaimed video “The Last Pope?” together at one low price from the WND SuperStore!

Even funnier are those who make both claims simultaneously, that America was founded as a Christian nation AND that the founding fathers were a bunch of Freemasons who were part of a global conspiracy of the Illuminati and paving the way for the Antichrist. Those can’t both be true except in the minds of people who simply disregard reason and truth from the start.

Once again I am amused by how the amazingly all-powerful Christian god is so weak before the powers of…what is it this time?

    Spooky architecture!

If Beardy McSmitesalot is so holy and all-encompassing and omnipotent, why is he also so fucking jealous and petty and terrified that some silly mortal is going to discover his kryptonite? What, is Satan, who he created with his omniscient failure to prevent from being created, going to whisper the dark secret in our ear?

Anyway. I’ll make sure to lay a crucifix across my the eye-in-pyramid on my money at night to prevent it from animating at night and impregnating me with Satan’s child.

    Or something.

Well, after all, George Washington was a Mason (the Masonic Temple in Alexandria, Va. is named after ole George), as were Ben Franklin and John Hancock.

  3. Artor says

This is not so contradictory. You’d have to be Xian to believe in all the anti-X crap. Likewise, most Satanists are pissed-off Xians. It’s stupid as shit, but not mutually incompatible.

  4. markr1957 says

Hmmm – sekrit Masonic signs and symbols, apparently known only to totally non-Masonic Christians and completely unknown to Freemasons at any level – how surprising!

  5. exdrone says

It is ridiculous to suggest that the founding fathers intended some kind of masonic spiritual or philosophical basis for America. Everyone knows that the pervasive masonic symbols are clues to a hidden Templar treasure.

  6. Randomfactor says

See, the Masons had infiltrated Christianity. So inserting Christian stuff into the government strengthens their cover for their REAL intent. Or something.

The actual Bavarian Illuminati -obviously defunct since being debanded by the Monarchy in late 18th century- did actually want to form Anarcho-Communist Paris Commune style Elysium Communes in America, and were trying to immigrate here actually; I read correspondence between Baron Knigge and Weishaupt where they talked about the idea. They were never able to setup AnCom Communes here, sadly. The founding fathers were definitely freemasons, and it’s true SOME freemasons and SOME Illuminati hated Monarchists and wanted them all overthrown to form Republics, etc, but the idea the Illuminati controlled the USA is patently absurd. If that’s so, then why weren’t Weishaupt and Baron Knigge and the rest of the Illuminati they oversaw, accommodated in their migration plans to settle here in the US and form Elysium communes? If they were running the place then it only makes sense they would have first class ships to take them here.

This doesn’t make sense. Also, Jefferson and Paine were part of a Freemason Lodge called Lodge of the Nine Sisters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Neuf_S%C5%93urs

and I think Paine was part of a secret society during the French Revolution called Marianne as well (quasi Masonic, like the Illuminati, but NOT Freemasons, and NOT Bavarian Illuminati). There was another quasi masonic secret society of note called the Carbonari, back during that general time period, which was founded by the same guy who founded the Sicialian Mafia. A bunch of these secret societies were pretty common: where like 80% of the people in them were just a plainbread charity and fraternal organization and 20% of them were zealous revolutionaries wanting to entrench the Enlightenment and overthrow the Monarchy in each country. Many of them had different names, but their goals were generally to resist Christendom in all of it’s forms, and the Monarchy that was part and parcel of it.

How these types of people could be both Christian and Illuminati is hilariously idiotic, in the extreme even.

There are of course a TON of political groups nowadays, fulll of rich assholes or not (Crowley’s OTO) claiming to be descended from the Bavarian Illuminati directly or some such offshoot. I’ve not found any proof this is so, and Crowley’s OTO is more like the Rosicrucians than the Bavarian Illuminati, and the OTO/Templar types consider themselves to be Illuminati.

La Loge des Neuf Sœurs (The Nine Sisters), established in Paris in 1776, was a prominent French Masonic Lodge of the Grand Orient de France that was influential in organising French support for the American Revolution. A “Société des Neuf Sœurs,” a charitable society that surveyed academic curricula, had been active at the Académie Royale des Sciences since 1769. Its name referred to the nine Muses, the daughters of Mnemosyne/Memory, patrons of the arts and sciences since antiquity, and long significant in French cultural circles. The Lodge of similar name and purpose was opened in 1776, by Jérôme de Lalande. From the start of the French Revolution in 1789 until 1792, “Les Neuf Sœurs” became a “Société Nationale”.

    and

In 1778, the year Voltaire became a member, Benjamin Franklin and John Paul Jones also were accepted. Benjamin Franklin became Master of the Lodge in 1779, and was re-elected in 1780. When Franklin, after a long and influential stay in Europe, returned to America to participate in the writing of the Constitution, Thomas Jefferson took over as American Envoy.

So I forgot to add that Voltaire and Ben Franklin were part of the Lodge of the Nine sisters. This lodge was a part of Grand Orient (French) Freemasonry, NOT Illuminati, and while they were active (and successful) in overthrowing the Crown in America (Monarchists, King George, etc) that doesn’t make them evil assholes who want to rule the world with an Anti-Christ.

Of course, everyone knows I’m the Secret Baphomet, but that’s another subject entirely ;). I WILL BE INSTALLED SOMEDAY AND RULE OVER YOU ALL, MINIONS!!! Hahahhaa /evil witch cackle.

Information in plain english describing Lodge of the Nine Muses can be found here, from one of their lodges of course: http://thelodgeoftheninemuses.org/about.shtml

Most Freemasons in the USA or Europe, are outwardly Christian and Secretly Deist until a certain degree where they are either Pagan or Pantheist (effectively naturalist or Atheist). Most Bavarian Illuminati were outwardly Christian/Catholic and Secretly Atheist (the higher initiates only though, overseen by Knigge and Weishaupt who was codenamed Sparticus.

Uh oh, I mentioned Sparticus, different from Sparta ofc but still Spart something danget! That makes for an obligatory SERIOUS movie clip accompanied by comedic mental images due to past parodies! =)

Awwwwwww, so cute ^.^ That goat ride sounds fun =)

I’ve never been initiated into anything I just studied a TON of literature, lol. I was in Monarchist Cult/Esoteric Society (Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property) for a decade, and got away seven years ago. In Masonic terms, the ‘bad guys’ from an historical perspective; pre-Enlightenment, Christendom supporting, Monarchy loving, Dark Siders. I’m still on the Darkside but because I’m an unorthodox Maoist (commie), politically. I think I could be initiated into a group of guys, but a group of other women sounds a lot less intimidating, lol. Still I’m a transwoman, so a group of guys wouldn’t be that bad given I was socialized heavily around guys growing up.

I did a archival project for a Minnesota Mason Lodge that was founded back in 1856. All of their papers were just stacked up in a dirt floor basement. I had full run of the entire place and had access to 150 years worth of their records. After organizing all of their archival records and wandering around the lodge, I concluded they were an odd superstitious bunch but they are completely harmless. Even back during their founding, they were just friendly people who helped out in the community who also happened to think they were part of some sort of secret order going back to ancient times.

Freemasons are nerds. They have more in common with people who play Dungeons and Dragons and read books about wizard than a evil organization plotting to rule the world.

The Capitol “faces” the Washington Monument? Really? The main entrance (and the entrance to the visitors’ center) is on the east side of the building, the side facing away from the Monument.

In what sense would you say they were “Esoteric”?

I suspect they’re the sort of people folks here would very much like to rule the world.
