Fun With Cindy Jacobs

Our old friend Cindy Jacobs unleashes the “whirlwind of God,” knocking over credulous audience members and delivers a message from God that He will “kiss the ground of Kansas.” This kind of thing cracks me up to watch. It’s such a transparent scam that I continue to be astonished that anyone could fall for it. But I think Benny Hinn does that slaying in the spirit thing better than she does; he can take down dozens of people at a time. My favorite part is at the end, when she starts “speaking in tongues,” which sounds a lot like incoherent baby talk and asks “Can you feel it?” Yep. I can feel you sucking the money right out of the wallets of that audience full of suckers.

    But I think Benny Hinn does that slaying in the spirit thing better than she does

    Yeah, I think it would be hard to make a Bodies video with her act.

    A s professor Tarantoga (University of Krakow) proved in 1970s, glossolalia (“speaking in tongues”) is actually a northwestern dialect of the language spoken in Atlantis. A direct translation of what Cindy Jacobs said would be “go stick your head in a pig” -a rather surprising religious message.

    Unfortunately, this was how Christianity started ….. their original adherents were charismatic, messianic, apocalyptic Jews. The miracles and glossolalia were their distinctive signature. The uneducated, poor, sick and desperate were their main converts. This is just a continuation of their business model from the First Century.

    evodevo: You mean, it’ s not the First Century any more?

    And it seems to me that God has kissed the ground of Kansas — and Missouri, and Alabama, and a couple of other places — over the past couple of years.

    “Fun With Cindy Jacobs”

    The only thing that conjures up for me, Ed, is something to do with urine and freshly turned earth.

    @7:

    Depends on your value for, “kiss”. I’d say it’s more like he fed ‘em some JESUSrufies and, well, I’m not going there–this is too classy a blog, for me to be talking about fundies getting buttfucked by their Ol’ Uncle YHWH.

    @2 Why do you think there are so many tornadoes in the mid west? I’m pretty sure that the constant religio-babble coming from evangelists causes the damn things.
