Tony Perkins welcomed Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio to his radio show to talk about defunding Obamacare (he thinks, bizarrely, that the Republicans have a mandate to do so because of the 2010 elections). And Perkins came up with a brilliant idea: The House should defund Obamacare in order to pay for bombing Syria.
“You could even take it to the issue of Syria. If the President wants to expend resources in going into Syria, maybe you should have to choose between funding Obamacare and funding a war in Syria, can’t do both.”
Or we could just not bomb Syria and pay for health care instead. Funny how the guy who claims to follow the “prince of peace,” who preached non-violence (“turn the other cheek”) and the importance of caring for the poor, would rather shoot Tomahawk missiles than help people get health care. And by funny, I of course mean appalling.
