Rios Doesn’t Like Seeing Partners of Gay People

Arch-bigot Sandy Rios is upset. I mean, she’s always upset, but this time it’s because gay people actually exist and are mentioned in the press. Specifically, the partners of Christine Quinn, a candidate for NYC mayor, and Glenn Greenwald. And she says, “It’s just amazing to me the power of the homosexual movement and the interest in the sex lives in all of these people.” Uh, Sandy — the only one who cares about their sex life is you.

So, I’m not the only one who sees a married couple and thinks, “Uh…heh-heh…uh…heh…they’re doin’ it…heh-heh.”

I know whenever Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are mentioned, the first thing I think about is their sex life … actually, in my case, Brad doesn’t come into it all all.

Glenn Greenwald is a homosexual? I didn’t know that.

Clearly I’m just obsessed about people’s sex lives.

  4. Modusoperandi:

Yup. It’s terrible that the media focuses on Greenwald’s partner, who came home from a abroad, got pulled out of line at the airport, held and interrogated for nine hours under anti-terrorism laws. Typical media, always distracted by the gayman homosex!

  5. TooManyJens:

What does she want everyone to do, just pretend Miranda is Greenwald’s “good friend” or “roommate” or something?

  6. gshelley:

I’ve read a lot of reports referring to Miranda as Greenwald’s partner. I haven’t read any with any details on their sex life.

  7. doublereed:

I thought Miranda was Greenwald’s partner in journalism

@4 Exactly how can anyone read that story and focus on the mansex? We have a serious issue here with a law that was over broad in the first place being miss used to harass someone and all she can think is “I wonder what they do at night?”

  9. eric:

What, news channels mention the partners of famous people to increase interest? What’s next, exaggerating the importance of their segments prior to airing them? Using story hooks? Say it ain’t so!

I think it’s sadder that she’s shocked the wife of a mayoral candidate might be talked about during a campaign – because we never hear about straight spouses during a campaign, right?

    Who?
I know this is a vitally important story, far more important than chemical weapons attacks in Syria or even local Federal Elections, i just can’t believe I missed this earth-shattering story!
What’s next some female celebrity has loss weight! Justin Beiber has one something dickish? Somebody is having a ‘twitter war’ with someone else in order to improve their market recognition (just before the inevitable album release)?
Just another round of celebrity dog-vomit. Nothing to see here.
    Dingo

  13. Doug Little:

    This sums it up perfectly.

  14. Gretchen:

Wow, Dingo, when did you become a dearmuslimer?

  15. matty1:

Chemical weapons attacks in Syria, yes I’ll grant that is more important but you’ll excuse me being more concerned about the lengths my own government will go to in order to hide their and their friends grubby secrets than about elections somewhere else.

I bet Rios goes fucking nuts* when she hears an Australian man talk about his mate.

    *I know, too late.
