Pratt: Obama, Clinton, Zimmerman and Communism

I bet you all missed the connection between the George Zimmerman trial and communism. I bet it sailed right past you. But that’s because you aren’t playing Wingnut Madlibs like Larry Pratt of the extraordinarily far-right Gun Owners of America. He seems to have drawn all the usual suspects — Obama, Clinton, Holder, Saul Alinsky, and Zimmerman — along with communism. And here’s the word salad he tosses:

I really think the attorney general, as well as the president, are racist, and they look at the world through the prism of race. And it’s also an issue that they like to exploit to keep things stirred up. I’m sure you’ve talked many times about the Marxist theorist Saul Alinsky. And one of his chief points is to seek to divide people so that you can have turmoil, and so that you can bring collapse to the existing order, because it’s the communist view that out of collapse they can then build their own communist society. That’s what Saul Alinsky was all about, that’s what the Obamas are all about, that’s what Hillary Clinton is all about. You know, Hillary wrote her senior thesis on Saul Alinsky. She actually had met him not too long before he died. So, these folks that we’re dealing with at the top of our government are intentionally looking for ways to cause dissention.

And yet, something interesting. Blacks tend to vote Democrat, at least in the national elections, about 92 percent of all the blacks voted Democrat. And yet, only 87 percent thought that Martin was a victim, that he was not the aggressor. You realize that, even though that’s only a five percent difference, there must have been some pretty impressive evidence indeed to get five percent of those Democrat blacks to move from their normal Democrat default position to the 87 percent figure. I frankly took that as encouragement, even though I’d rather not have them 87 percent think Martin is the victim. I think we made some progress in this trial.

I’m kind of disappointed. No mention of Soros? Weak.

In the right-wing lexicon Pratt is using, a “racist” is somebody who looks at the world “through the prism of race”, and the only people who aren’t racist are those who, like him, are unaware of their own racial prism’s existence.

But Obama is already President. He’s already “the boss.” What does HE have to gain from dissension?

Maybe they don’t quite understand how that whole thing works.

If a person has not read Marx it is easy to call any other person a Marxist if you don’t like them. Not knowing a thing about what you are talking about never got in the way of a solid wingnut position – tightened all the way down.

… and they look at the world through the prism of race.

As opposed to the blinders of racism?

By the way, those aren’t prisms. They’re spectrometers by which they get valuable information about the way the world works in real life.

    Hahahahaha. Geek joke.

That sounds like something a Marxist would say.

He’s currently too busy funding the Femen activists in Europe to destroy Christian civilization (According to our resident wingnuts).

Is it me or Pratt actually compared the “92% of Blacks voting Democrat” to “87% of Blacks who thought Trayvon Martin was the victim” to find a 5% difference ? Math and conservatives are so mutually exclusive.

The rest of the diatribe is pure projection as usual.

As I have stated on many occasions previously, the right wing Rethuglicans are the true followers of Saul Alinsky. Alinsky said, “rub raw the sores of discontent”. Its the Pratts of the world who rub raw the sores of discontent.

By the way, in case there are some who are somewhat mystified by the new login name, I was previously slc1 and slchonda. Not trying to hide anything.

If “aggressor” can mean “threw the first punch (or whatever the claim is) ’cause he was being threatened by an menacing stranger,” then those two categories are not mutually exclusive.

I, for one, very much appreciated it :)

Indeed – she said his model was “largely ineffectual” and “inapplicable” to the national scene. Doesn’t sound like someone who is likely to try to follow that model, is it?
