American Xenophobia and Racism. Again.

Remember those racist assholes who lost their minds over a Latino kid singing the national anthem before an NBA finals game at San Antonio? Well, they’re back, or they have friends who like baseball. Marc Anthony sang God Bless America at the MLB all-star game and the assholes came out in force yet again.

And then there’s this one:

racistassholes2

Marc Anthony IS an American, you racist fuck. How about you get out of the country? I don’t want to share this country with you anymore. Hell, I don’t want to share this planet with you. “American” doesn’t mean white, asshole.

    Ed:

Unfortunately for the rest of us, there is a sizable minority of the voting population in this nation that consider racism and xenophobia to be a MurKKKan patrioticalistic virtue.

So this means that only Native Americans are allowed to sing god bless america, the national anthem, etc. at any event.

One other thought, isn’t Mexico (as well as Honduras, Puerto Rico, Cuba, etc.) part of the (North) AMERICAN continent, so aren’t all these people American?

Nonwhite U.S. Births Become the Majority for First Time – Bloomberg
    www. bloomberg. com/…/non-white-u-s-births-become-the-majority-for-f…‎

May 17, 2012 – The percentage of nonwhite newborns rose to 50.4 percent of children … will become a minority of the total population after the 2040 Census, making up 48.5 … Nonwhite Births Become Majority in Sign of U.S. Transformation.

Going to be hard times for racists.

    1. The majority of kids born are…nowhite.

    2. The US is projected to go majority nonwhite in 2040.

    3. Four states are already majority nonwhite including California and Texas.

It’s hurt the racist Tea Party/GOP but not as much as could be expected. Texas still elects people like Perry and Gohmert. Although Obama did get 40% of the vote. Time is not on their side.

A lot of baseball players are black, hispanic, from various Caribbean and Latin American countries, or Asian.

If the racists don’t want to see nonwhites playing sports, maybe they should just turn off their TV’s.

Come to that, shouldn’t the only person signing “God Bless America” be Irving Berlin? (Or perhaps an interpreter for the deaf?)

So people like Charo and Jennifer Lopez can’t sing American songs? That’s stupid. Marc just wasn’t famous enough, The idiots didn’t recognize him.

If they got mad when he sang, what did they do when the players took the field?*

Some cretins certainly wish it did.

Worse, of the players, at least two are from the Dominican Republic, one was “born” in Kentucky, another in Maryland, and those four play for some foreign team, the Toronto Blue Jays/Les Blue Jays de Toronto. And that foreign team plays America’s sport, right here in America! In public! It makes you wonder what it’s all aboot.

wildbill – I’m sure Amerindians would love to get god to bless America. I mean why wouldn’t they? @@
Nepenthe – nah that guy isn’t gonna sing anything, he was tone deaf. (He was always asking folks to lead him their ears)! OK now I’ll get your coat! :)

I wish we were able to identify these people and then ask their bosses and family how they feel about employing or being related to a bigot… Honestly these people are beyond being reasoned with and I think all we have left is shaming them and everyone who embraces them.

Must you even ask? New York might as well be Guadalajara to these dumb-ass crackers.

@ about 00:35 into the video:

“You cannot breed Secretariat to a donkey and expect to win the Kentucky Derby.”

    and then:

‘You guys have incredible DNA, and don’t forget it.”

said by Ken Crow (Jim’s younger, Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay dumber brother) of the American Teaparty Community.

Kennyboy, you’re right about the DNA of your disciples being incredible; it’s just that it’s not incredible in a good way.

Re: Breeding Secretariat to a donkey, Ken; Secretariat would be the black stallion who can run like the wind and clear 6′ rail fences without breaking stride, you would be the ass.

Not only is Anthony American, as has been mentioned, but his parents and grandparents were Puerto Rican, which makes them American citizens as well.

#4 Raven – You have to allow for a lag of about 18 years before the kids reach voting age (and immigrants become naturalised?). It makes quite a difference in regions experiencing demographic change.

And his parents are Puerto Rican …. which has been American since the Spanish American war in the late 1800s.

    Ghastly.

Let’s ask US Senator Rafael Edward “Ted” Cruz, from Calgary, Alberta Canada, his opinion.
Please don’t tell the racists that God Bless America was written by a Jew.
And a tip-of-the-hat to Modusoperandi at #s 8 and 12 for putting it all in perspective.

Folow-up to Wildbill at #3: From Wikipedia,

Amerigo Vespucci (Italian pronunciation: [ameˈriɡo vesˈputtʃi]) (March 9, 1454 – February 22, 1512) was an Italian explorer, financier, navigator and cartographer who first demonstrated that Brazil and the West Indies did not represent Asia’s eastern outskirts as initially conjectured from Columbus’ voyages, but instead constituted an entirely separate landmass hitherto unknown to Afro-Eurasians. Colloquially referred to as the New World, this second super continent came to be termed “America”, probably deriving its name from the feminized Latin version of Vespucci’s first name.

Just remember that the next time you sing “God Bless America”. You could just as easily be singing “God Bless Vespucciland”.
