The WND is Mad at Pelosi

I’ve never been a Nancy Pelosi fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I rather liked her response when asked about Michele Bachmann’s moronic statements about the Supreme Court’s marriage equality rulings on Wednesday. “Who cares?” she replied. Perfect. But the Worldnutdaily has their undies all bunched up over it.

U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the former speaker of the House who lost her leadership position when the Democrats failed to obtain a majority in the U.S. House in 2010 and once spent tens of thousands of dollars on snacks as the taxpayers ferried her back and forth, apparently doesn’t have a lot of concern for someone else’s worries…

Only a short time later, when pro-homosexual politicians were appearing before reporters, one reporter posed the question about what they thought about Bachmann’s comments.

Pelosi’s response? “Who cares?”

She didn’t say she doesn’t have concern for someone else’s worries, she said she didn’t care about Michele Bachmann’s worries. And she shouldn’t. Bachmann is an ignorant blowhard who is wrong about nearly everything. The proper responses to her daily declarations of stupidity are to ignore her or to point and laugh at her.

What? A deputation of taxpayers, bent double like hacks, carried a gargantuan Nancy Pelosi from one vending machine to the next, so she could feed her entire salary into them (in quarters)?
Yeah right, this is WhirledNutsDaily we’re talking about here. Bound to be ‘pants on fire’ at best.

“She didn’t say she doesn’t have concern for someone else’s worries, she said she didn’t care about Michele Bachmann’s worries.”

Amusingly, if you go to the link, the title of the article shows exactly that. They even underline “she” (“she” being Michele Bachmann, of course) to emphasize that Pelosi was specifically talking about Bachmann. So remember, whenever the words “someone else” appear in a WND “news” article, it’s an automatic reference to Michele Bachmann (lol).

Pelosi “once spent tens of thousands of dollars on snacks.”

We are supposed to believe that a) she spent the taxpayers’ money doing this, and b) the snacks were for herself alone.

I’m not going to dig into the matter to find out, but this is just innuendo — a WND specialty.

Don’t be absurd, dingo. She demanded a taxpayer funded jumbo jet solely to satisfy her craving for honey roasted peanuts. She consumed them so rapaciously, that the market couldn’t keep up with her demand, forcing the rest of the nation into rationing programs. Everybody knows that.

I propose that the epithet ‘WhirledNutsDaily’ be replaced with ‘Withered Nuts Daily’. Seems more on point.

My guess someone took the catering budget for every official function Pelosi ever attended and renamed it as ‘snacks for Pelosi” that should get you tens of thousands.

Personally, I think Bachmann should’ve been censured for her infamous call to inquire into what she alleged were the anti-American views of her fellow members of Congress. But that ship has long since sailed.

So WND pissed off about their heroine being rightfully dissed as someone with a vaguest of clues….

    Two second internet search:

Q: Has Nancy Pelosi spent $100,000 on food, booze and “partying” during her air travel?

A: No. Pelosi’s congressional delegations do eat well and drink pricey alcohol. But the costs are not as high as critics claim, and they’re comparable to those of her Republican predecessor, Dennis Hastert.
