Bigot: Gay Kissing Incites Violence

When the Russian Duma passed a harsh new anti-gay law recently — as if the old law wasn’t oppressive enough — a group of gay rights activists held a “kiss-in” to protest it. A group of bigoted thugs attacked them, throwing eggs at them while shouting slurs. But the bigots at MassResistance say the kissing “incited” the violent attacks.

This week Russia became the latest in the growing list of countries that is clamping down on homosexual activism, particularly regarding children.

The Russian parliament (the Duma), voted 436-0 for a bill which bans giving information on homosexuality to minors or holding “gay pride” rallies. It is expected by insiders to pass easily in the upper house and be signed by Vladimir Putin. Just before the vote, homosexual activists held a public “kiss-in” outside the parliament building, which incited a heated reaction by traditionalists who were also there…

Obviously, it is unfortunate that there was violence over this, though apparently it was provoked by homosexual activists.

If you think two people kissing have provoked a violent reaction to them, you’re a fucking asshole.

Translation: Homophobes are not responsible for their actions. They are machines that unthinkingly respond to certain stimuli with mindless violence, not human beings with agency or sense of morality. Therefore it’s the gheys’ fault for providing provocative stimuli.

And yet still expect to be allowed into places where there are other people, rather than being locked up like the dangerous animals they insist they are.

Sure must be rough to be so persecuted.

Well, if the sight of a woman’s ankles can provoke uncontrollable lust…

This is the same logic that puts women in burqas. Assholes used to privilege can’t control themselves, so it’s the victim’s fault.

Those folks at MassResistance might have something there. I’m sure it was my fault for using a public sidewalk while gay that provoked those teenagers into smashing my face in with a brick 9 years ago.

The opposite is also true. That’s why there’s all that kissing in the stands at hockey games. True story.

If you think violence is an appropriate response to anything you dislike, then yes– anything you dislike could be called provocation to violence.

However, that means that you are the problem, and you are the one who should be in jail. Not the people doing things you dislike.

    From the Bigot’s Dictionary:

unfortunate, adj. – pertaining to an adverse consequence, esp. physical harm, that someone incurs by not conforming to your correct definition of normative behaviour, appearance, etc., in spite of repeated warnings backed up by your chosen authority figures. ex. usage: it would be unfortunate if your home was burned to the ground

If you ask me, the part you quote isn’t even the worst thing in the article. This part seems even more bigoted to me:

As we reported last week regarding the recently passed bill in Nigeria outlawing homosexual activism, many countries are starting to recognize the destructive aspects of the homosexual movement and taking concrete steps to deal with it. Although in some cases the punishments are more draconian than Westerners are comfortable with, there is a sense that these nations do not want their cultural decisions dictated by the United States and other Western countries.

That’s gotta be the understatement of the century. In many of the countries in question, the punishment proposed is death. This isn’t a matter of what makes Westerners uncomfortable. It’s a matter of what Westerners find utterly appalling, horrifying and disgusting.

These MassResistance assholes aren’t just making excuses for people who throw eggs. They’re trying to downplay the actions of countries that straight up murder homosexuals.

…there is a sense that these nations do not want their cultural decisions dictated by the United States and other Western countries.

    And yet…

The bill is a culmination of events going back to 2007, when Massachusetts-based Pastor Scott Lively went on a 50-city speaking tour of Russia on pro-family issues. Lively subsequently published a widely distributed open letter to the Russian people warning them about allowing the homosexual agenda to become “mainstream” in that country.

…that doesn’t really seem to be stopping you, now does it?

Two days ago two far-right french activists were sentenced to prison for beating up two interracial couples who rode their bicycles together.

    They were not kissing
They were not even holding hands
They were just ridding their bicycles together.

For bigots, merely existing is already a crime.
