Beck Wonders Why He’s Called a Conspiracy Theorist

On a show last week, Glenn Beck went on quite a tirade about the media making a “concentrated effort” to label him a conspiracy theorist. And it’s apparently all Cass Sunstein’s fault. Cass Sunstein? The Harvard law professor? Yep. Hey Glenn, maybe people call you a conspiracy theorist because that’s what you are and it’s what you do.

    Effort?

Taking your words and printing them exactly as you said them doesn’t really take all that much effort.

O my, recursive conspiracy theories. What will they think of next?

The media labels him a conspiracy theorist?

    You can’t explain that!

Glenn Beck needs to watch a typical Glenn Beck video. Then maybe he’ll put it together.

I don’t know much about Conspiracy theorists. Are they generally open to a wide range of conspiracies, or do they think that they have stumbled across the truth in their pet conspiracy, and people who go for other ones are nuts, best dismissed as “conspiracy theorists”?

I think it depends. Some might have their pet theories, like Beck and how everything seems to lead back to Cass Sustern. Others, like Alex Jones, are more of the “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” variety.

Cass Sunstein. Well, I learned a new name today. Is this allegedly one of my mentors like Saul Alinsky whom I’ve never heard of or read?

Newspeak. Beck’s driven to make it the standard.

And what the fuck is a ‘concentrated’ effort? Did you perchance mean ‘concerted’ effort? If you can’t goddamn bother to use the correct expression then please just stfu! On second thought just STFU!
    Thank you.

    Promoting conspiracy theories is bad.

What I (“I” being “Glenn Beck”) say is good.

Therefore, I don’t promote conspiracy theories, and the people who say I do are making a “concentrated” effort to destroy me.

    Glenn Beck syllogism (il)logic.

They are concentrating concertedly in concert (not *at* a concert)against him maybe?
