Wingnut Wants to Shoot Hillary in the Vagina

Pete Santilli is still a relatively obscure internet radio show host, but he’s attracting some pretty big names, including Ted Nugent and Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America. And this guy makes Alex Jones seem sane. On a show last week, he declared his desire to kill a whole lot of political leaders — including a lurid and disturbing desire to shoot Hillary Clinton in the vagina.

How about Hillary Clinton? That frickin’ assbag has not only been involved in drug trafficking out of Mena, Arkansas, okay? Not only that; and all these people try to have this plausible deniability thing, yeah sure, they’re removed, they’re just a bunch of politicians. Well, guess where they got all of the money to acquire the power that they have?

This ‘C U Next Tuesday,’ Hillary Clinton, has been involved in the killings of American troops. Namely, the mysterious suicide of the emotionally unstable Navy SEAL commander who just so happened to be involved in all of her dealings in the Middle East, okay. And he just mysteriously got suicided along with everyone else associated with the Clinton family. Miss Hillary Clinton needs to be convicted, she needs to be tried, convicted and shot in the vagina. I wanna pull the trigger. That ‘C U Next Tuesday’ has killed human beings that are in our ranks of our service.

I want to remind you that in Benghazi, Miss Hillary ‘the fricken’ biggest vagina on the face of the planet’ told troops to stand down and to not go in and interfere with the operation that they set up because they’re moving arms; Barack Obama is moving drugs through the CIA out of Afghanistan and Barack Obama needs to be tried, convicted, and shot for crimes against the United States of America. And if anybody has a problem with that, then you are an enemy of our state.
..

I want to shoot [Clinton] right in the vagina and I don’t want her to die right away; I want her to feel the pain and I want to look her in the eyes and I want to say ‘on behalf of all Americans that you’ve killed, on behalf of the Navy SEALS,’ … the families of Navy SEAL Team Six who were involved in the fake hunt down of this Obama bin Laden thing, that whole fake scenario – because these Navy SEALS know the truth, they killed them all – on behalf of all of those people, I’m supporting our troops by saying we need to try, convict, and shoot Hillary Clinton in the vagina.

He also wants to kill the whole Bush family and President Obama. I’d say Santilli needs to be visited by the Secret Service.

Doesn’t the FCC have rules against dirty talk, threats, and defamation? This guy has engaged in all three, so there whould be plenty of legal pretext to take him off the air and/or yank his station’s broadcast licence. This isn’t protected free speech, it’s just plain crude insults and verbal bullying.

“Santilli needs to be visited by the Secret Service”
… or perhaps a good psychiatrist?

I also suspect, based on some of his obsessions, that the poor loon may have problems with his penis.

If he’s sick, help him — but get him off the air.

Now, I may have lost my glasses, but I’m pretty sure that Hillary can avoid all this simply by staying away from Virginia.

    He’s clearly not a RWNJ.

He didn’t stress that Barack Obama’s middle name is Hussein!

Big deal. This is not all that uncommon. Didn’t Robert Ingersoll, in his telegraph radio show, once say he wanted to shoot Frances Folsom Cleveland in the vagina?

I believe there are laws against making terroristic threats. This guy needs to be on the FBI’s watch and maybe arrest list. This is more than an FCC offense. Going on the airwaves and saying the President should be shot is incitement to riot or worse.

If this guy is on the internet, why is he censoring his language?

I have no respect for guys who want to curse but don’t, and substitute some pussy word instead like C U Next Tuesday for cunt, or ‘fricken’ for fucking. If you’re going to be “mr. tough guy, I’ll shoot em and look em in the eye” how about growing a pair and using grown up words?

In fact, it is a federal crime to threaten or advocate the assassination of the POTUS.

Yes, slc1, but the minute the Feds take action, the teatards will scream about how they’re being unfairly singled out again.

What part of ‘emotionally unstable’ are you having difficulty with, numbnuts?

“And he just mysteriously got suicided along with everyone else associated with the Clinton family.”

Al Gore,, Madelienine Albright, Robert Rubin, Lawrence Summers, William Perry, William Cohen, Janet Reno, Bruce Babbitt, Mike Espy, Dan Glickmann, Mickey Kantor, William M. Daley, Noman Mineta, Robert Reich, Alexis Herman, Donna Shalala, Richard Riley, Henry Cisneros and Andrew Cuomo, amonst others, have all ‘got mysteriously suicided’, they just don’t know it yet. @@

I think Hillary Clinton, as a former first lady, is also eligible for Secret Service protection.l

This guy is clearly fucking insane and apparently misogynistic. But the commenters above need to get their facts straight, because calling for censorship is not the proper response here. For one thing, he’s on the internet, which is completely outside the FCC’s jurisdiction. For another, the FCC shouldn’t exist at all, so even if his show were on actual radio, it should not be censored.

More importantly, even though what he’s saying is awful, I don’t think it’s illegal. He didn’t say he wanted to kill Hillary Clinton. What he said was

we need to try, convict, and shoot Hillary Clinton in the vagina.

So he’s saying she should be put on trial and face the death penalty. It’s not like no one has said these kinds of things before. Here’s Vincent Bugliosi at the Huffington Post in 2008:

If Bush, in fact, intentionally misled this nation into war, what is the proper punishment for him? Since many Americans routinely want criminal defendants to be executed for murdering only one person, if we weren’t speaking of the president of the United States as the defendant here, to discuss anything less than the death penalty for someone responsible for over 100,000 deaths would on its face seem ludicrous.** But we are dealing with the president of the United States here.

On the other hand, the intensity of rage against Bush in America has been such (it never came remotely this close with Clinton because, at bottom, there was nothing of any real substance to have any serious rage against him for) that if I heard it once I heard it ten times that “someone should put a bullet in his head.” That, fortunately, is just loose talk, and even more fortunately not the way we do things in America. In any event, if an American jury were to find Bush guilty of first degree murder, it would be up to them to decide what the appropriate punishment should be, one of their options being the imposition of the death penalty.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/vincent-bugliosi/the-prosecution-of-george_b_102427.html

Bugliosi’s comment is more nuanced than Santilli’s, but he was still openly discussing the idea of executing the President. I’m sure the Secret Service took a look at him, but I doubt their investigation went beyond that. It will probably be the same with Santilli. It’s not illegal to talk of public figures being tried and executed.

@ Raging Bee. You’re right that the nutjobs will scream persecution if anything happens to this vile ratbag, but they’ll do that anyway. If they were ignored completely, they’d take that as evidence of persecution.

    garnetstar

Santilli is apparently being investigated by the Secret Service to determine his “intent”.

But he’s reiterated his comments, emphasizing that he doesn’t want to kill Hilary, but wants to shoot her in the vagina to cause extreme suffering, which he wants to watch. He repeated that he doesn’t want her to die, he wants to watch her suffer agonizingly.

That’s all that he’s intending! It’s not like he wants to kill her. I’m sure that the Secret Service will be relieved.

He didn’t say he wanted to kill Hillary Clinton. What he said was

And this is why social issues are important in the larger skeptical community: wingnuttia, anti-intellectualism, and the patriarchy (and a bunch of other crap) are of the same streamhead.

    I want to shoot [Clinton] right in the vagina and I don’t want her to die right away;

Sounds like a wimpy liberal Tea Partier.

At least he got the torture part right.

@ Raging Bee. You’re right that the nutjobs will scream persecution if anything happens to this vile ratbag, but they’ll do that anyway.

    True.

No matter what, they scream persecution. It’s mandatory for the christofascists.

PS There was some NJ right wing extremist radio guy who kept ranting about overthrowing the government and assassinating a bunch of people. He did eventually get in trouble with the FBI. Can’t remember his name. After a while the Tea Partiers all blend together into something resembling very old road kill.

I tend to favor humorous, memetic, and frelling fictional euphemisms, but that’s for comedic and/or geek cred purposes.

But for people playing Internet Tough Guy, yeah, it really undermines the effort. Of course, there are a lot of nuts who seem to think that if you express the most vile of ideas without using any Naughty Words, opponents will have no basis for calling you vulgar. Because being civilized isn’t about constructive behavior or self-restraint, it’s about technical obedience to lingual taboo.

Wes @13: But the commenters above need to get their facts straight, because calling for censorship is not the proper response here.

    Your concern is duly noted.

For one thing, he’s on the internet, which is completely outside the FCC’s jurisdiction.

Who said anything about the FCC? I’m pretty sure that everyone above you was talking about the Secret Service or the FBI, who most certainly do have jurisdiction over people using the internet to threaten the lives of political figures.

For that matter, Ed specifically invoked the Secret Service, as did chisaihana5219. Only Raging Bee specifically invoked the FCC, and that was in regards to the show itself.

For another, the FCC shouldn’t exist at all, so even if his show were on actual radio, it should not be censored.

And the non sequitur statement of the day goes to…Wes! Congratulations, step right down to receive your prize.

But, no, seriously, your beliefs in the legitimacy of the FCC aside, we live in a world where there is an FCC, so this really just looks like an attempt to derail. So it looks to me like there was tone trolling, strawmanning, and derailing in three sentences. Congratulations!

Also, I really want to know how this:

“if I heard it once I heard it ten times that “someone should put a bullet in his head.” That, fortunately, is just loose talk, and even more fortunately not the way we do things in America. In any event, if an American jury were to find Bush guilty of first degree murder, it would be up to them to decide what the appropriate punishment should be, one of their options being the imposition of the death penalty.”

Is the moral equivalent to repeatedly saying that you want to see someone shot in the vagina and that you want to be the one who gets to pull the trigger while looking her in the eyes. Even, “Someone should put a bullet in his head,” isn’t the same as, “I want to be the one to put a bullet in his head while looking him in the eyes.” One is an expression of impotent rage at an injustice. One is sociopathy. There’s a difference.

What the heck is he talking about in the last paragraph of the block quote? Has there been some sort of rash of murders of Navy SEALS going on that I am not aware of?

  24. 24
    dan4

@13 “He didn’t say he wanted to kill Hillary Clinton.”

Santilli: “I wanna pull the trigger.”

Also, he called Hillary a “vagina” and a spelled-out “cunt”…but he’s only “apparently” misogynistic. Wes, you’re a fucking idiot.

  25. 25
    Ichthyic

Big deal. This is not all that uncommon.

it in fact IS a big deal, and that many now are so jaded as to not think so is another problem entirely, and perhaps just as disturbing.

I think what he’s saying regarding Seal Team 6 is that the Bin Laden raid was a hoax, Seal Team Six knew this was a hoax, so Hillary Clinton was involved in having them all murdered. As conspiracy theories go, that’s a new one on me.
