Hagee Explains the Liberal-Islamist Axis

Crazy wingnut televangelist John Hagee explained to his mostly braindead followers recently why liberals and Islamists have joined together in an entirely imaginary cabal that hates America. And wouldn’t you know it, it’s because they both love “big government.” “Radical Islamsists wants a caliphate to regulate every aspect of our lives based on Islamic law,” Hagee said, while “the Left wants to tell us what to eat, what to drink, what to drive, what to say, and what to think.”

There’s something darkly amusing about having a man with obvious theocratic tendencies and beliefs claim that other people like “big government” (a phrase that is nothing more than a right-wing marketing slogan).

Also darkly amusing is how the right-wing also wants a big government to control what everyone else what to eat, what to drink, what to drive, what to say, and what to think.

    “…what to drive..”

Huh? I realize that ecologically-minded liberals might be miffed at the perpetuation petrochemical-fueled automobiles (and for very good reason), but Muslims? I must have missed that verse in the Qur’an where Muhammad tells the faithful to buy Chevy Volts.

The Qur’an predicts that Kia will make an all-electric version of one of its cars:

“Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.”

Good Point. By Hagee’s logic there should be an American religious Right, Islamist alliance, people like him want to tell us what to eat, what to drink, what to drive, what to say, and what to think. Maybe not so much what to eat, or drive, but pretty much every other thing on that list. Right wing Christian fundamentalists like him also believe absurd charges against the United States. Plus like he wants what would amount to a theocracy. Maybe Hagee doesn’t think this way, but I’ve also come across some far right Christians who believe that only Christians have the right to practice their religion in this country, and that people of every other faith only do so at their leisure. Something that only makes sense if you ignore the first amendment. The American religious right has far more in common with the Taliban and the theocratic monarchy that rules Saudi Arabia than mainstream liberals.

    | “Pro Israel” Christian Leader Blames Jews For The Holocaust

Mar 5, 2007 – “Pro Israel” Christian Leader Blames Jews For The Holocaust … God’s way of forcing Jews to move to Israel where, Hagee predicts according to … strike against Iran to fulfill God’s plan for both Israel and the West… a biblically ..

Hagee is the atheist’s gift that keeps on giving.

He once blamed the Jews for the Holocaust. And claimed Hitler was doing god’s will. The Holocaust was god’s way of moving the Jews to Israel so we could have the final war and armageddon. One wonders why his all powerful god couldn’t have just given them plane and boat tickets instead of killing 6 million.

He also is one of the last openly anti-Catholic bigots. IIRC, he also was or is anti-Mormon.

It’s really not that hard to understand. The Right in general is bound together by shared hatred.

It follows that if they all hate Muslims, liberals, and Communists then Muslims, liberals, and Communists must all agree on hating the things that the Right loves — including, obviously, God, America, Guns, and Nascar.

hmmm, big government like CISPA, that the Republicans (192 voted yes, 29 voted no) were all about passing? It’s a perfect example on how the GOP and the right wing lunatics are liars when it comes to not wanting “big government”. They want the biggest government they can get to control anyone who disagrees with them.

Behead those who don’t drive hybrids!

Technically speaking the Volt is not a hybrid in the sense that a Prius is. The gasoline engine on a Volt doesn’t drive the car, it only recharges the batteries.

I’m not fond of tu quoque, but really? How someone like Hagee can accuse others of doing exactly what he wants to do, I don’t understand. Substitute “Christianity” for “Islam” and I’m sure the statement would be in perfect alignment with what Hagee believes.

The reality: We have a freedom. The way certain people exercise that freedom leads to a result few like. Through our (sort of) democraticaly elected representatives, we limit those exercises in a attempt to imrpove life for all, with mixed results.

Haggee’s version: Liberals wake up, and yank a desire out of their ass to control people and pass laws doing so.

He’s like a scared child in a grownup body.
