Limbaugh Deduces the Real Culprit Behind Bombings

Alex Jones says the government did it. The Worldnutdaily has blamed both North Korea and Iran. Tony Perkins blames sexual immorality. Glenn Beck says Al Qaeda did it and the government is covering it up. But Rush Limbaugh has found the real culprit: College professors.

Rush Limbaugh: Now, see, this is where I am ripe for getting in trouble. Why is it so strange to believe that young kids could be radicalized in America? You got former bombers as professors in New York and Chicago. You have radical leftist professors who think this country’s guilty, teaching kids every day about what’s wrong with this country, about how unfair this country’s been, how unjust, how immoral this country is since its founding. What in the world do we think elite education is in this country? When you have a study of High School textbooks, nine different textbooks, the longest reference to Abraham Lincoln is one paragraph, but all kinds of references to the horrors of slavery and evil Republican presidents, how great Bill Clinton is.

How did Obama become what he is? Who taught Obama that America is so wrong? Who raised Obama to believe that America needs to be radically transformed? Well, we don’t know that they were taught conflict resolution. The odds are they might have been but they probably laughed all the way through that class. Can you imagine these guys in a conflict resolution 101 course? ‘Now, you are not supposed to resolve differences with violence. You are to find your combatant and talk about it and find wonderful things you have in common.’

You know who I think is behind it? Rush Limbaugh. I mean, it gives him a whole new subject to blather idiotically about. It’s as good a theory as any, right?

No, you idiots. It’s the eskimos! Of all big American cities, Boston is the closest to Greenland.

“who think this country’s guilty, teaching kids every day about what’s wrong with this country, about how unfair this country’s been, how unjust, how immoral this country is since its founding. ”

Well, if you ask indians, latinos and blacks…

Rush has never gotten over flunking out of Missouri’s safety school.

Notice how quickly he pivots from the bomber to a rant about how Obama hates America. That’s his real target, because no matter, it has to be Obama’s fault. At least it puts to rest the question as to whether a democrat could ever have gotten the kind of rally and support Bush received in the wake of 9/11.

Rush why are you lying? Why are you such a liar?

    Sigh. You’re not listening people.

It was the Illuminati that ordered this action in order that Obama can ban all guns in advance of the New World Order, where people will be sent to FEMA camps just prior to the global economic collapse. These “brothers” didn’t even do it — they’re fall guys. One is dead and the other “conveniently” can no longer speak. They’re probably not even “brothers”.

    I smell a rat.

A study of nine high school textbooks and only 1 Abe Lincoln mention.,

The texts were geometry, algebra, music, Spanish, physics, chemistry, earth sciences, European history, and driver’s ed.

Pff, I took all my history classes in Texas and Arkansas, so I can’t vouch for every state, but apparently none of those textbooks was from there.

Can you imagine these guys in a conflict resolution 101 course? ‘Now, you are not supposed to resolve differences with violence. You are to find your combatant and talk about it and find wonderful things you have in common.’

Yes… that is a pretty basic rule of conflict resolution. Violence generally escalates conflict until the only resolution is utter annihilation of one side. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure if Rush is saying that he thinks Obama agrees with this pseudo-quote and that an actual conflict resolution course should teach that violence should be used to resolve conflicts and finding things in common should not (given the slightly flippant way he words the last line gives me this impression), or that he thinks Obama would be laughing at the idea of peaceful conflict resolution, which might be true given his record so far, but I wouldn’t expect Rush to complain about that (except he’s a hypocrite, so I would).

Maybe they’re all right. It’s the biggest conspiracy in history.
    .
College professors? The younger one was only 19, I don’t think he could have spent too much time at college. And the older one was too busy beating his wife to study.
    Oh, here’sa timeline at CNN:

    Fall 2006, spring 2007, fall 2008:
Tsarnaev attends Bunker Hill Community College as a part-time student, a school spokeswoman says.

    April 2009:
… The young man also told his uncle he was not concerned about work or studies because God had a plan for him. According to his uncle, Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s radicalization started in not in Chechnya, but in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at a local mosque.

A-yup. Those community colleges are the worst. The students get a lot of radicalization while they are learning accounting and auto mechanics.

Literally a few minutes ago I left this quote in a discussion about Karl Rove’s comment on the greatness of W in HuffPo (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/26/karl-rove-bush-presidency_n_3162322.html?ncid=txtlnkushpmg00000037):

“The difference is that Democrats patriotically supported the president, even if a member of the other party, in times of crisis. Republicans, in contrast, are cynical power-mongers who, immediately after Obama’s 1st election (in fact, before), decided to do all they could to harm Obama and show no respect to the office of the presidency, even at the expense of harming the US.
Obama’s leadership abilities cannot help with a party that said, “Our No. 1 priority is to make this president a one-term president”, right from the beginning. “

    @Reginald:
In fairness, those of us who teach sciences (geology, oceanography, meteorology, and physical sciences in my case), mathematics, humanities, and social sciences at community colleges would take exception to your implication that only trades are taught at CC’s. Many CC’s give students the 1st 2 years of University at much lower cost, with much smaller classes, and at a high level of academic rigor. We are quite capable of radicalizing students ourselves, thank you very much.

Who taught Obama that America is so wrong? Who raised Obama to believe that America needs to be radically transformed?

Is that what they teach in Kenya?

  11. says

Funny that Rush would complain about how university professors would go around indoctrinating their students with regards to “what’s wrong with this country” – considering that “what’s wrong with this country” is one of the major themes of his radio show – which given the authoritarian nature of its programming and audience must surely come close (at the very least) to being indoctrination.

  12. Abby Normal says

Echoing Composer99, hasn’t Limbaugh made a career of telling people how awful America is, how stupid its leaders are, how corrupt its media is, how evil its citizens are, at least the ones who don’t like his show? Radicalizing influence indeed.

    Re Gvlgeologist, FCD@ #10

Way back a million years ago when I was an undergraduate, I was told that many students in California wanting to major in math went to community colleges for the first two years instead of starting at UC Berkeley because the math instruction there for freshman/sophomore courses was notorious for being awful. By taking the freshman/sophomore courses at community colleges (which were called junior colleges in those days), they avoided the Berkeley disaster (the credits were transferable).

  16. jefferylanam says

I wonder how many high school history textbooks even mention Bill Clinton. From what I hear, most schools don’t update their text books very often. I certainly remember running out of time at the end of the semester and not covering much of the last 20 years.

Shit they found me out. THIS is what I really was trying to teach my students when I kept saying that a for loop should be structured in a certain way.

  18. shouldbeworking says

We high school teachers never get the credit we are due. The likes of PZed and friends (fiends?) get all the fun jobs and glory.

Slc1, introductory calculus was competently taught at Berkeley in the late 1960’s, if my experience is any guide.

  20. dan4 says

So what Limbaugh is basically saying is that it is horrible for college professors to teach their students that there are things wrong with this country…and the fact that they are doing so is, uh, one of the things wrong with this country.

@21 I’ve heard it’s still competently taught, they just made it hard for the sake of being hard to weed people out. (This from other Berkeley math majors.) I personally never took it because I transfered, so no first hand knowledge.

  23. sugarfrosted says

Also, I should have know Algebraic Geometry was communist indoctrination. No wonder Vietnam has universities that are really good at it.

No, no, no, it’s jihadist propaganda. Don’t you know that “algebra” derives from Arabic al jebr “reunion of broken parts”, referring of course to the reconstitution of the Caliphate!
