Star Parker: Nuttier Than a Snickers Bar »« Dumbass Quote of the Day

Risking God’s Wrath. Again.

A question for wingnuts: Is there anything that doesn’t risk God’s wrath? If we let gay people get married, we’re inviting God’s wrath. And if we let women get abortions. And if we don’t do absolutely everything the Israeli governments demand, Pat Robertson warns. Isn’t it fascinating that God seems to agree with them on everything and be willing to do horrible things to those they politically oppose?

Lot’s of things don’t risk God’s wrath. Say if you saw someone injured at the side of the road and didn’t stop to help, or allowed currency trading in places of worship. Basically anything condemned by Jesus that ‘liberals’ might also be against is perfectly fine.

If Pat Robertson doesn’t give me $2,000,000.00, he’s going to risk god’s wrath upon his soul.

All we atheists have to do is answer Pat Robertson softly. Proverbs 15:1. It’s like a force field.

When someone claims to know the mind of God it always happens that God has exactly the same opinions and prejudices as his mouthpiece.

Yes, that’s how I taught my own children right from wrong. Whenever they did anything I didn’t like I would say nothing, sneak out, wander around the town, and damage something they really liked. I’d leave it to them to figure out 1.) Hey, could that have been done by Mom? and 2.) If so — then what could it have been for?

It’s the only way they could learn.

You have to ask them: Is there anything that YOU want that god DOESN’T want? Followed by: Is there anything GOD wants that you DON’T want?

Isn’t it equally fascinating that God never gets around to the smiting bit?

” I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do to their fellows, because it always coincides with their own desires.”

    Still rings true today.
