Wingnuts: Obama Building Black Army

The far right has always been strongly correlated with racism and sometimes that spills over into the public statements of wingnuts, especially when they’re talking to each other. Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America (a group that thinks the NRA is a bunch of weak-kneed liberals) went on a radio show with Greg Howard and they surmised that Obama is building a black army to fight the white insurgents who will fight the impending attempt to seize their guns.

Pratt once again insisted that Obama is acting like King George III, a sentiment with which Solomon concurred, saying, “That will happen quickly and they will wipe those people out to set an example.”

But Solomon wasn’t finished: “I believe they will put together a racial force to go against an opposite race resistance, basically a black force to go against a white resistance, and then they will claim anyone resisting the black force they are doing it because they are racist.”

Howard agreed: “You may be right because he has been sowing the seeds of racial hatred; we were healing quite well as a nation on racial issues until Obama came along and now we have a lot of racial discord.”

After arguing that Obama is “not American” and not a natural born citizen, Howard maintained that Obama may begin “wiping out a few hundred people who own guns, pull a large scale Waco or a Ruby Ridge type incident” and have it “tinged it with racial overtones.” But just in case Obama goes through with his plans to “take down” the Internet, “people are setting up phone-trees all over the place” to stop Obama in his tracks.

“If Obama can take your guns away he can take your car, he can take your home, he can take your bank account, he can take your very life,” Howard said.

Unsurprisingly, Pratt agreed with their insane ramblings: “I do agree that the Obama administration would definitely be capable of something as evil as you were suggesting.”

Oh, and they’re going to imprison “hundreds of thousands” of people when they start seizing guns. Probably keep them in those non-existent FEMA camps. Here’s the video:

Man, we white folks were healing so well from the embarrassment of being assholes to other races until some uppity black dude decided to go and take a white man’s job. How dare he open up old wounds by not sticking to his place?

    *ptooey*

These guys are so racist I’m surprised it’s not oozing off them in physical form.

Agreed. It should be pouring off them in sheets. White ones with the eye holes cut out.

  3. jnorris:

Now we know what Pres Obama did with all those 50 million Muslims he secretly imported into the USA to vote for him. After the elections the All Black Army must be their permanent job.

  4. Scr... Archivist:

This reinforces my pet notion that the right-wing paranoiacs are stuck in 1968. The stereotype of black men who don’t know their supposed place seems to date from that time. He is alleged to be a gun-toting nationalist, selling Mao’s Little Red Book to fund his Black Panther chapter, and changing his name and religion to Islamic forms.

I think the Black Power movement really scared these people, and they still haven’t recovered from the shock. It doesn’t help that now they’re scaring themselves with shadow puppets.

  5. atheist:

Makes me wish Obama would put together a black army and put these idiots in FEMA camps.

  6. fifthdentist:

Yes, jnorris, they are all hiding out in specially built FEMA bunkers, the whole 50 million of them.
When the president utters the word “baloney” during a speech, that will set the brainwashed horde on their mission to kill and rape their way through white America.
Then all of Obama’s relatives and childhood playmates in Kenya will be summoned to America to help rule in his dictatorship.

Just like kiddies sitting around a camp fire when the grown ups have gone to bed, whispering and giggling, telling ghostie stories and trying to frighten each other with torch light shone under their chin…..

  8. timgueguen:

Perhaps the FBI should be watching these guys. It’s almost as if they’re preemptively making excues for some band of right wing terrorists who’ve planned an assassination attempt on Obama, or something.

  9. Ichthyic:

    this reminds me…

is Ted Nugent still alive/out of jail?

what’s the countdown on that one?

  10. Ichthyic:

Perhaps the FBI should be watching these guys.

at the turn of the century, both the FBI and CIA identify right wing domestic groups in the US as being far and away the highest terrorism risk to the US.

    they still do.

  11. Ichthyic:

oh no, goes back much further than that.

and the exact same sentiment was applied to Jews in Europe in the late 1800s/early 1900s that then allowed them to become the scapegoats for all of Europe’s “problems”.

othering for personal and political gain is a time honored tradition.

I’m reminded of the animated Abilify commercial, the one with the dark-blob-with-eyes free-standing “depression”.

“I used to have trouble keeping my racism under control. So I talked to my doctor, and he added Cluebat® to my racism-control medication. Now I’m less of an *sshole.”

  13. Phillip IV:

So now they’ve graduated from being afraid of black helicopters to being afraid of black infantry, as well?

Indeed. But even the children know that the stories are just stories. To see people who are supposed to be responsible adults doing it, and take it so seriously, is kind of pathetic though.

Is it that their lives are so damn pointless and boring that they must invent evil conspiracies to give themselves importance ?

They remind me of the doofus in religulous who pretended to be a former satanist who had all the women and money he wanted before turning to jeeebus. Yeah riiiiight. And that guy wiping he floor at McDonalds used to be an astronaut before he got fed up with the space thingy.

  15. nigelTheBold, also Avo:

Howard agreed: “You may be right because he has been sowing the seeds of racial hatred; we were healing quite well as a nation on racial issues until Obama came along and now we have a lot of racial discord.”

Yes. We were healing quite well. There was no racism in America until B. Hussein Obama became the democratically-elected President of the United States of America. Twice.

Nobody ever used racial slurs, nobody ever insinuated that it’s a good thing those colored folks aren’t getting all uppity like they did back in the ’60s, and there’s no prison demographics indicating endemic social prejudism.

Now everything’s gone suddenly pear-shaped. All them gays are starting to think they might have the same rights as all good-thinking moral folks. Liberals are getting more liberal-y. Muslims are building their buildings (like I know what they’re called — they sure ain’t God-fearing churches). And atheists think they can go around thinking they don’t believe in God.

And just to think, five years ago, everything was peachy.

  16. baal:

Substantively, not much change but at least they dropped the awful and obnoxious “rahowa” (racial holy war) noise they used in the ’80′s.

Also, more projection. While they tried (and mostly succeeded under Bush the Lesser) to make the US military branches evangelical christian, not everyone else is busy with that exclusion of all ‘others’ to that degree. I would be amused by a leftish scientist attorney army but wouldn’t expect much in terms of military success from it.

“You may be right because he has been sowing the seeds of racial hatred; we were healing quite well as a nation on racial issues until Obama came along and now we have a lot of racial discord.”

Yeah, they would be just fine if there weren’t a black man in office for them to hate for being black.

  18. Modusoperandi:

Typical liberals! It’s all your fault for dividing America by pointing out the so-called “dogwhistles” so-called “racists” have been so-called “using” since so-called “2008″. Well, Real Americans will show you! They aren’t even using dogwhistles anymore. Atwater got a bullhorn now!

  19. coragyps:

Didn’t B. Hussein Okenya already round up these maroons and put them in FEMA camps back in 2009? I know for a fact that I heard is was going to happen then…..

Poe’s Law must have a political analog. I know for certain I couldn’t make up satire as brilliant as that funny shit. Except that it isn’t funny………..

  20. had3:

So much crap thrown against wall that he actually hit something right! Obama’s executive authority (?) to decide which Americans get killed without judicial review or challenge is disheartening. But Solomon et al are probably all right with that since the mericans were in the Middle East.

  21. coffeehound:

    @ #17,

Yeah, they would be just fine if there weren’t a black man in office for them to hate for being black.

Can you blame them? Look at him. Just standing there so arrogant….and black. Pretending to be the boss of us. and so….black.
It’s clearly his fault for sowing the seeds of hatred, when he could have been any color, any color at all and CHOSE the one color that would upset all upstanding pale REAL Americans.
He knew what he was doing……..!

  22. Subtract Hominem:

If my surname were Pratt, I think I would spend my entire life trying not to live up to it, unlike dear Larry here.

  23. laurentweppe:

This reinforces my pet notion that the right-wing paranoiacs are stuck in 1968

The privileged are always certain that the downtrodden are revanchists who secretly want to slaughter them all: they’re stuck in 1968, all right, if you make that 1968 Before Anno Mundi, when the first son of the first big landowner started to fear that the dozens of servants who plowed through daddy’s field realized that he was an inept jerk-off.

  24. Ichthyic:

And that guy wiping he floor at McDonalds used to be an astronaut before he got fed up with the space thingy.

FWIW, I’ve met PhDs in various science disciplines (chemistry, physics) who, 5 years after getting their degrees, WERE working at McDonalds.

and I once met a PhD in marine biology while touring British Columbia that worked as a logging camp hooker.

Sadly, I think you need to make your analogy even MORE extreme.

  25. Ichthyic:

Nobody ever used racial slurs, nobody ever insinuated that it’s a good thing those colored folks aren’t getting all uppity like they did back in the ’60s, and there’s no prison demographics indicating endemic social prejudism.

…and there was no repeal of affirmative action.

oh, and there was no ignorance of history, either.

    ah, those were the days.

We used to live in a shoebox in the middle of the road…

  26. d.c.wilson:

Of course Obama is forming a black army. Who do you think is going to round up all those homeschoolers and put them into FEMA camps?

  27. Ichthyic:

does anybody else who watched that video get reminded of the “Welcome New Sheriff” scene in Blazing Saddles?

  28. dingojack:

Is Obama’s black army gonna drop down outta black helicopters?
    Dingo

  29. dingojack:

I sure hope the black army comes and puts those dorks’ sweaters in a FEMA camp – pee-yoo!
    Dingo

  30. democommie:

“This reinforces my pet notion that the right-wing paranoiacs are stuck in 1698.”

    There, ftfy.

  31. lordshipmayhem:

When I hear the words, “All Black Army”, I think of the fans of the New Zealand rugby team, not of some threatening horde of the descendants of former slaves.

Sorry wingnuts, try again. That wasn’t even remotely threatening – unless you’re a fan of the Eagles, the American national rugby team.
