Rush: Obama to Throw Christians in Insane Asylums
Erik Rush, it seems, has never met an Obama conspiracy he didn’t like, especially the ones he extracts from his rectal cavity. His latest bit of paranoid lunacy is to claim that the health care reform bill is a cover for Obama to declare Christians to be crazy and put them in an asylum.
Along with his disdain for European society and what Obama perceives as the vestiges of imperialism, colonialism, and white supremacy (which includes America), he also despises that which gave rise to it, which serves as its cultural adhesive, and which stands as the chief impediment to a Marxist America: Christianity.
So, what new diagnoses, designations, and revisions might be included in the DSM-5? We won’t know for certain until May, but given the history of the APA, I believe Americans have reason to be afraid. I believe that we shall see an increasing incidence of sinister provisions in Obamacare coming to light, and conflict within the medical and legal communities as to the government’s latitude in these areas.
In the area of mental illness, given the administration’s totalitarian bent, this could mean an era of atrocities galore. Have you ever suffered from anxiety? Depression? Had “anger issues?” Have you ever been treated for drug addiction or alcoholism? Had trouble sleeping? Any of these and a host of others might be used as a pretext for one’s designation as a mental defective. One might suddenly discover that due to some benign neurosis or psychological episode, perhaps in their distant past, their constitutional rights have been nullified overnight.
Such individuals may be detained by the government for an indeterminate length of time, “assessed,” and designated as suffering with some form of mental illness. They might then find themselves barred from owning or possessing a firearm, or obtaining driver’s or pilots licensees. Perhaps they will not be allowed to serve in the military or law enforcement, to work in government service, schools, day care centers, hospitals or medical clinics. And forget ever surviving an employment background check that requires security clearance…
In the case of those who pose the most dire threat to Obama’s designs – Christians – these will certainly be targeted. After all, who more demonstrably epitomizes mental instability in the eyes of the Marxist atheist than those who commune with and rely upon that which is unseen? To the Marxist, God is no more real than Elwood’s “Harvey,” and even more antiquated than the Constitution.

For Marxists and many otherl people, I must say that Rush’s last sentence is 100% correct.

I thought Obama was trying to make the US like European socialist societies. So he has disdain for them, but he wants our country to be like them. Makes sense… but only if you accept the theory that wingnuts say whatever the hell they want and never revisit previous, or other wingnuts’, remonstrations.

…given the history of the APA, I believe Americans have reason to be afraid. Huh? Is it possible that Mr. Rush has had his own personal run-in with a representative of the psychiatric profession?

I would amend Rush’s last statement to read: “To the sane, god is no more real than Elwood’s ‘Harvey,’ and even more antiquated than the Constitution.”

But waiiit…I thought that it was the conservatives who were telling us to leave their guns alone and ramp up our mental help system, ie. lock up the craycrays.
I guess when they say something it’s good, but when Obama says the precise same thing it’s a sinister conspiracy? Or something. Listening to these people makes my head hurt.

I always get a kick out of Christians whining about “Marxism” (in quotes, because it seems like they know a Marxist if one bit them on the gospels).
Why does Jesus hate job creators?!?!?!
Larry:
February 15th, 2013 at 2:19 pm
That is just so ridiculous. Obama has no intention of throwing these people into insane asylums since they will have already been rounded up and placed into FEMA camps.
fifthdentist:
February 15th, 2013 at 2:29 pm
Preposterous!
Don’t they realize how much it would cost to house and feed them all? And how that expense would reduce the money that he could be giving to lazy, atheist, Muslim commies to bribe them to vote him in as dictator-for-life?
Obama probably will just throw the Christians in a ring with lions.

“I’m so confused. Have we always been at war with Eurasia, or have we always been allied with Eurasia?”
The answer is “Yes.”

That jumped out at me, too. I though Europe was supposed to represent the decadent liberal socialist that Obama was trying to mold the U.S. into.
If you’re confused, here’s the key: when he says “European” in this context, he means “white.”

More evidence of Obama’s Magic Time Machine and/or Illuminati involvement! According to wikipedia, the early planning for the DSM-V began in 1999, and in 2007 the APA “announced the task force that would oversee the development of the DSM-V.” In other words, Obama also faked multiple psychiatric credentials in order to be on the board of the APA and join the task force all with the ultimate goal of locking up the mentally ill. Dammit, if it weren’t for my mental illness, I’d have the clarity of mind to follow Rush’s Wonderland logic. Or something.

In context, it’s of course as absurd as the rest, but as a stand-alone, this is true. Fortunately, there’s a push to use the ICD, but that won’t entirely erase the damage caused by this fiasco.

Christianity also gave rise to Marxism. Karl and Friedrich came from that Germany place, which is in Europe, and was infested with Christians at the time. Both of them grew up in Chrisitan households. And you can see parallels between the idea of the Second Coming and Marxism’s predicted “end of history.”
You’d think incarcerating all the Christians would be rather too much for even Obama and his Superconspiracy forces, but Rush probably thinks there are only a few thousand, or tens of thousands at the most “Real True Christians.”

Insane Asylums, is that what they are calling churches these days?
Alverant:
February 15th, 2013 at 4:09 pm
Putting them in asylums is too inefficient. What you do is go to the local ren faire and get a bunch of swords. Then you lock say six of them in a room and have them fight to the death. There’s plenty of rooms so you can make it intresting (gym locker room, library, 7-11, etc). Of course all of this will be filmed for PPV because swords aren’t cheap.

Now, don’t hold me to this, but I suspect the DSM-5 will not have the term “mental defective” in it. But I can understand why Rush might be worried …
karmacat:
February 15th, 2013 at 4:28 pm
The DSM 5 won’t be very different from DSM 4. They keep trying to improve diagnostic criteria to help make the right diagnosis. They still don’t know a lot about underlying pathophysiology of different diseases. The brain is do wonderfully and frustratingly complex.
Ironically, talking to someone who is not there is a sign of psychosis

I want to say to Rush that the idea of throwing xtians into loony bins is utterly… loony.
No, Rush, we’re not going to toss you and the rest of your fellow loonies into loony bins. What an utter waste: you can’t perform any useful services there.
Instead we’re going to throw you into concentration camps – camps modeled on the cozy little place we have in Cuba… You know it as Guantanamo… Yes, the camp at gitmo is our carefully concocted beta test site that we conned the Bush administration, Dick Cheney in particular, into creating for us. It is where we are perfecting the brain-washing techniques that we are going to use enmass on all Republicans – Tea Party members or not.
So buck up there, bucky. Soon you too will be able to enjoy the pleasures of water-boarding, stress positions, and war dogs snapping at your man-parts…

Christian communism: Acts 2:44-45, based on the instructions of Jesus in Luke 14:33, Matthew 6:19, Matthew 19:21, Mark 10:21, Luke 18:22, and Matthew 13:44-46. “Sell everything you have and distribute to the poor.”
