Mere days after being let go by Fox News, likely at least in part due to the fact that he’s either wrong or lying about nearly everything, my former colleague Dave Weigel catches Dick Morris telling several major whoppers in an appearance on the Piers Morgan show. I’m shocked. Absolutely shocked. As Dave puts it, Morris is a “sleezy liar.”

It might be better to think of this as Rage-o-tainment where people tune in to have their biases validated. If personality can’t make the numbers they are let go. Poor Dick had his numbers drop and now he is trying to get them back by claim a conspiracy by his former bosses.

Does anyone else remember when the Right Wing Media considered Dick Morris one of the worst people in the world. Until he started to say what they wanted to hear. Then all was forgiven. Now, I guess he’s no longer forgiven.

I think that we’ve actually witnessed the threshold of partisan bullshitting (in the Frankfurtian sense) that even Fox can tolerate. The conclusion: Fox has a very high tolerance to keep Morris around that long.
