D’Souza and Terry Jones: Peas in a Pod

Dinesh D’Souza is scheduled to speak at a crappy little conference called the Conservative Call to Action Issues and Action Forum in Colorado Springs in March. Guess who else will be speaking there, along with a cast of nobodies? Terry Jones, the Quran-burning pastor and weapons-grade moron from Florida. But he’s called “Dr” Terry Jones on the press release. Doctor of what? I have no idea.

Also appearing is fringe mediocrity Seth Riggio. In 2012, he endorsed Tom Hoefling for president. Who? Exactly. He was the candidate for America’s Party, a 43rd party with a handful of supporters who crave nothing less than theocracy. His endorsement, which surely brought Hoefling several votes, is rather amusing to read:

A few days ago Mitt Romney announced that he supported abortion in cases of rape, incest, and the life and health of the mother.
As we all know Barack Obama supports abortion without any hesitation.

What difference is there in these two men?

What Mitt Romney said has been the pro-choice and pro-murder mantra for years.

God will not give Wisdom to a man who supports and condones such an evil.

Mitt Romney is also in favor of Homosexual couples adopting children.

Barack Obama does the same.

What difference is there if these men both agree that placing innocent children in homes where such perversion takes place. This entails that they both support this evil…

WHAT ARE WE THINKING!!!
We are supporting a man who is willing to allow innocence to be slaughtered.
We are supporting a man who supports an abomination against God (homosexual couples) furthering their insult against the family by pretending to take care of children where the fact is all it does is cause these innocent children confusion and a perverse knowledge of right and wrong, good and evil, normal and perverted.

I am done!
FINISHED!
In fact, I am sick of it.

Evil can never be supported.
Satan enjoys it when he can trick us into doing so.

Brilliantly argued, don’t you think?

@2: interesting. Generally speaking, people with honorary doctorates, however well-deserved they might be, or however august the institution that conferred it, do not subsequently refer to themselves as “doctor,” certainly not routinely. To do so verges on fraud, as it makes people think they have credentials and qualifications they don’t. To mention your honorary degree in your bio is perfectly acceptable, even expected; to claim a title you have not actually earned is not, IMHO.

I have an earned doctorate from one of the top schools in my field in the world, and I do not refer to myself as doctor except in professional contexts. Most of my colleagues do likewise.

    .
If I travel through space and time and save the human race fifty times, does that count as “earning it”? And if I morph into a new body, does the new body get to keep the “Dr.”?

I think he means “innocents”, however incorrectly.

When the putative object of your concern is not really the object of your concern, these things slip by.

I kinda feel sorry for Dinesh. No one will pay attention to him while Dr. Terry Jones is making the rounds. The best he can do is whine about it at the bar afterwards.

No, we still refer to him around here as Doctor Gretzky.

He’s got a terrible bedside manner though, and the pills he gave me were just little perforated stars made of whole wheat.

Well, The Doctor has claimed to have an actual medical degree as well as a degree in cheesemaking.. remember, he’s had a millennium to study under any master (heh) he wanted!

Spelling and punctuation seem Ok. Has sentences and paragraphs.

Main thing its missing is coherency.
