God’s Gift of Discernment

I believe our GOVERNMENT shot those kids and teachers and used Adam Lanza and his family to pull it off. They might have killed two birds with one stone. One: If these men are involved in the LIBOR scandal, they can manipulate their testimony. Two: they get gun control. How very, very clever and efficient of them, right? I hate to say it. I hate to put myself ‘out there’ with this because I KNOW how I will be attacked. But I don’t do this for anyone’s approval. I do it to help the American People.

Yes, she has the “gift” of being stupid and credulous and falling easily for every crazy bit of right wing paranoia that comes down the road. Merry Christmas to her.

yep, there we go with “good Christian” lies and false witnessing.

  2. Brett McCoy:

and here we go with another person equating autism and mental illness. Grrrrr!

  3. Tabby Lavalamp:

Last night, after I saw a talking head interview (or, I should say, NOT interview) the father of the boy who saw his teacher get shot and ran for his life with a couple of friends, I told my husband, “Something is not right here. She didn’t ask a single relevant question. So far, this boy is the only eye-witness of the gunman coming forward. She didn’t ask if the boy saw one or more shooters. She didn’t ask any details of what the gunman did first, second, third. She didn’t ask for a description of the gunman.
…The reporters are not grilling the one and only witness we know of- this little boy.

That’s right. She’s pissed off that reporters aren’t grilling a child who just went through a major traumatic event. That’s the first time since the tragedy that I’ve heard someone criticize the media for not questioning the children enough.

He was too mentally ill to have gotten those weapons himself.

The state of his mental health being irrelevant because they were his mother’s guns.

  4. Gregory in Seattle:

@hexidecima #1 – It is not lying or bearing false witness if people are truly stupid, ignorant and/or crazy enough to believe they are telling the truth.

  5. Michael Heath:

It’s easy to point to this lady and note she’s a fool and all groups have fools. However, this is an illustration there is tragedy here beyond the Sandy Hook slaughter. Here we can easily validate this conservative Christian’s premises come from the very media sources which drive public policy in the Republican party. E.g., Benghazi, federal and state legislators drafting wingnut anti-U.N. policies, and most relevant here – pointing to all sorts of absurdities for the root causes for Sandy Hook while avoiding the biggest fact of all. That being the correlation between gun ownership and gun violence relative to other developed countries.

  6. mommiest:

“I can smell something fishy a mile away.” Unless it’s a cliché.

  7. Mr Ed:

    In software: bug = feature
    Conservatives: paranoid delusion = gift

I too find it telling that MSM “reporters” are asking a child softball questions instead of water boarding him to get the truth.

  8. Modusoperandi:

That’s just ridiculous. She didn’t even mention Fast & Furious!

  9. bobafuct:

She lost me at “They could care less about the feelings of the people they interview.”

  10. lilandra:

If this woman’s family owns guns, they need to be taken away from them. She is exhibiting classic signs of hyper-paranoia.

  11. raven:

He was too mentally ill to have gotten those weapons himself. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and we now know that he had many, many interventions by school officials in the past.

I don’t believe this is true.

There are a lot of reports of unknown reliability. AFAICT:

    1. Lanza had never been diagnosed with Aspergers. This was just something ex-classmates of his had thrown out.

    2. One report was that he was on a strong anti-psychotic drug and most likely schizophrenic.

I’m going to wait for a defnitive report if there ever is one. There have been a lot of wild statements that turned out wrong. They even got his name wrong for a day, using his brother’s instead.

And oh yeah, that woman is just babbling, stringing together a variety of unrelated facts, some of which aren’t even facts. Her gift is from her sockpuppet god, the one that only exists in her head.

  12. d.c.wilson:

Funny how he fish radar failed to alert to her about the implausibility of two men “rumored” to be about to testify in the same scandal both having sons capable of committing (or, if you must, of being manipulated by the UN into committing) a mass shooting. Of course, if that had dawned on her, she might have found out that the rumors about them being about to testify were completely false and in fact, no such hearings are even scheduled.

Of course, that would make her entire fish theory collapse, so I can see why she wouldn’t want to dig too deeply into those rumor. Much better to just assert those rumors as if they were credible.

  13. Kevin:

I am psychic. I predicted this exact scenario about 30 minutes after I first heard about it.

Trust me, she’s not alone. Thousand and thousands of others have come to the exact same conclusion — that Obama deliberately ordered this massacre in order to justify banning guns.

    They are beyond rational.

  14. gshelley:

if the story is accurate, than the fact that had Adam Lanza NOT had access to those legal guns, he could never have killed those kids. He was too mentally ill to have gotten those weapons himself. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and we now know that he had many, many interventions by school officials in the past.

Or to put it more accurately, he was a bit strange and had some problems at school

  15. John Pieret:

Now there is someone who should have been standing in the “Returns” line on December 26th.

  16. tfkreference:

Yes, it’s very strange that no one is talking about the speculations that were taken as facts in the initial news reports. It’s just like those scientists not talking about Adam and Eve anymore.

  17. John Hinkle:

Like Benghazi. Almost on day one, I told my husband: “The facts don’t make sense. Something is wrong here.”

Almost on day one. Which could be any day after day one. Say, coincidentally, after Fox News and wingnut talk radio hammered the Benghazi story as a scandal and cover up? That’s some God given gift that is. Hooo-wee. Boy, I am just so impressed.

  18. duck1887:

    Wingnut:

There is NO OTHER CONCLUSION, if the story is accurate, than the fact that had Adam Lanza NOT had access to those legal guns, he could never have killed those kids. [...] I felt that the killing of little children would be the strongest argument yet that we should clamp down on gun ownership.

So in order to be able to make this incredibly strong argument for “clamping down on gun ownership,” the President orders the hit.

You know what this reminds me of? The creationist two-step whereby fossils and other physical evidence for an ancient earth and/or evolution are a) laughably insufficient to anyone with a lick of sense, but also b) put there by Satan to deceive us.

Same thing. Any argument for an unacceptable conclusion is entirely lame; except if it isn’t, then the evidence must have been manufactured (or both!?). Heads I win, tails you lose.

  19. naturalcynic:

How could she be mistaken on the second gunman. Not in the woods, On the GRASSY KNOLL!!!!!

  20. slc1:

    Re naturalcynic

    No, on the railroad overpass.

  21. Dr X:

    Raven,

You’re right about waiting, and we may never find out anything about Adam Lanza’s mental functioning for sure. If he were alive and charged with the killings, mental health records could come into play depending on whether competency or responsibility or mitigation were put in play by his attorneys, but as of now it would seem that anyone who was involved in evaluating or treating him is still obligated to respect privilege.

  22. Jay Bulworth:

Neither Peter Lanza nor Robert Holmes (the fathers of the Newtown and Aurora shooters, respectively) are “scheduled to testify on the LIBOR” scandal – or anything else for that matter. Standard conspiracy theory fare pushed by nutjob birther website Infowars.

  23. thisisaturingtest:

    @#11, Raven:

    2. One report was that he was on a strong anti-psychotic drug and most likely schizophrenic.

That one report, from what I understand, was something said by a nutjob who pretended to be Lanza’s uncle- but wasn’t. See this article from the HuffPost. The New York Daily News published his claim, but later removed the article containing it from their website after learning the truth- too late, however, to keep it from becoming an Internet mainstay on sites like InfoWars and PrisonPlanet. And thus are memes born, legends spread, and agendas confirmed.

  24. hunter:

She forgot the part about Obama using mind waves to control Adam Lanza.
