   Rodney, I think you missed the point of the tweet. It’s not about how many billionaires supported Obama, it refers to the right-wing accusations about his support of “Marxist” ideas such as “redistribution of wealth”.

   Yep. Karl Rove took huge sums of money from his billionaire donors, and redistributed to poor campaign workers, ad-developers, sign printers, etc.

   And to the extent that his asinine ads turned off voters for Romney and helped the Democrats, he helped pay for Obama’s campaign, too.

   A few activist billionaires don’t necessarily represent all U.S. billionaires, just like the Koch brothers are not representative of what U.S. business people think in general. For example, the very richest people, I forget the cut-off, supported Sen. Kerry over President Bush in the 2004 presidential election. I do not find that 2004 result at all surprising. So I’d want to see actual polling data prior to claiming to know how billionaires voted in the ’12 election.

   I didn’t say more billionaires voted for Romney, I said more supported him, i.e., with money. I don’t know who Warren Buffett voted for but I do know he didn’t give anything like as much money to either candidate as the Koch brothers gave to Romney.

   Maybe it is you who needs to better understand sarcasm as a rhetorical device. For now, maybe you’d like to explain the point of your usage and what it was supposed to show.

   Rodney, Forbidden Snowflake knew you were being sarcastic. S/he was pointing out that the specific sarcasm you chose to employ was premised on not understanding the point of Nicolucci’s tweet.
